Nintendo 3DS - Best Handheld Today

I’m not sure Kokuga could be considered a spiritual sequel to Ikaruga.

Ikaruga is considered the spiritual sequel to Radiant Silvergun, and that makes sense. But Ikaruga and Kokuga as way too different. Unless I’m missing something.

They both have uga in the name. DUH!

Well whatever, it it’s a shmup and it’s made by Hiroshi Iuichi creator of Ikaruga, and it looks fun. I’d be really happy if any of the announcements I posted above happened at the nintendo direct but I highly doubt it.

Yeah, in any case the game looks badass. I’ll definitely buy it if I get the chance.

So 999 is a crazy ass fucking game, I was able to predict most of it but the last twist was crazy as fuck.
Its like one of those adventure books that I read back in the day that if you made the wrong choice you could wind up dead.

Anyway has anyone played the sequel, Zero Escape and how does it compare to 999? I also hear that Zero Escape is getting a sequel too.

I heard MH4 has platforming and lets you climb on monsters Shadow of the Colossus style. I never played an MH except for the 3DS demo which was cool but I think I’ll wait for 4 to drop on 3DS.

“The eShop will no longer suck” would suffice for me. I get it, portable games. But fuck your GBC ports.

It’s a shame you have to play zero escape to even understand 999, I was really interested in getting that game because of its solid reviews.

I think it probably gives you a deeper understanding of 999 but the story of 999 is pretty solid and you can understand the why to some extent. It is really the how that makes a bigger question but I read through the questionnaire that was posted with the producer or developer or whatever.

I almost went to gamestop today and bought Zero Escape on impulse because 999 made me have some crazy ass dreams last night.

If you go back to like November or December, we were talking about it. Zero Escape is just as good. I thought it was better but my friend who introduced me to 999 thought 999 was better. I would say the main difference is that 999 had more tension from the beginning, had better music and a cast of characters and was more gritty. When I got my first ending, which was the submarine ending, the hair on the back of my neck stood up, and I’ve never felt that on a video game before. Zero Escape was more grand or had a bigger scale and was just epic. They might have even overdone it towards the end. There was like a giant questionnaire for that game too. I would listen to your impulse, go to gamestop, and pick it up.

Words cannot describe the joy I am feeling from the announcement of a new Yoshi’s Story and spiritual sequel to LttP (Best Zelda, fight me). Mario & Luigi: Dream Team looks fantastic, hell even the Mario Party title looks fun.

The easier difficulty in DKCR worries me but hopefully it is optional.

Nintendo not pulling punches with the 3DS, this little beast has some fantastic titles. Wish they would fire on all cylinders with the Wii-U.

Nintendo Direct. Oracle of Ages and seasons on VC, new Zelda set in the Link to the Past world (new story, dungeons, and mechanics), Bravely Default and more

Nintendo going hard as fuck with the 3ds.

so many games hot damn

Nintendo never fails in the handheld department.
They should just scrap the WiiU and concentrate on nothing but the 3DS.

They are the Tiger of LCD games.

Guys, I missed the Nintendo Direct. Apparently there was some big news.

EDIT: GOT. DAMN.

ALTTP sequel
Bravely default localization
Yoshi island 3ds
Mario party 3ds
Mario golf 3ds
Earthbound localization
Katamari luigi game 3ds
Pikmin 3 release date august 4th
and more games that i dont remember atm

Aren’t 999 and Virtues Last Reward both part of the Zero Escape series? The third one will be Zero Escape: (whatever they title it).

This Mario Party actually looks like a lot of fun, hope it supports online play. Nintendo still hesitant to utilize their online which is very problematic.

Mario Golf day one. DAY FUCKING ONE!

I had a feeling Bravely Default would get localized, but I’m still happy to see that it has been confirmed. Yoshi’s Island and Earthbound are both great announcements, too… but holy crap at A Link to the Past II. Did NOT see that one coming at all.
