Sup everyone? Ive just finished off my piece that I have been working on for the past month. There are a couple things I am still not too satisfied with but its all good. Anyway critiques or comments are welcomed. Enjoy
I’m surprised no one posted yet. Hmm wonderfull colouring it really shows you have talent.
I guess if you really want crits (which u dont i think) his right leg seems a little big and his right arm compared to the left seems too skinny. But brilliant i guess i cant really pick out any more things from your colouring or drawing.
This is reallly cool, I like it alot. Great colours and nice design on the ninja dude. I don’t know if you’ve heard of him but this peice really has the look and feel of a Frank Frazetta painting. If you don’t know who he is you should check him out.
My one gripe would have to be the smoke, it looks really cheezy and half assed but something like that can be easily fixed. Other than that excellent work.
Wazeem - yeah the arm is a little off now that I look at it. It is not that apparent in the drawing, but looking at the colored version I can see what your saying.
Deranged Zombie - Yeah, Frank Frazetta is the artist who painted the Death Dealer and the Egyptian Queen. I just checked out a site with some more of his work and it is really kick ass. Lol Now if only I had half his skills haha. As for the smoke you are right. I might have spent about 5mins, tops, on the smoke. So its not up to par with the rest of the picture. I will probably work on it some more and this time use a reference photo.
Hey bud, you keep this up and I’ll be sending you some of my work to color. Heh. Awesome sketchwork here, and the coloring is top notch. You’ve really been stepping up your style, and I dig it. Wazeem’s crits do seem to be correct, but that may be due to the coloring. The smoke looks fine to me, though, but I’m sure you could do better. Keep up the good work, my friend!
Nice hb. Colors are getting better this time around. You got too many highlights popping everywhere though. Tone down on the reflective lights. here is a quick paint over to see what i am talking about.
just follow through with solid masses and you’ll be alright. Overall very good job.
SFMC - ah I c, kind of like my teacher says, just paint the light. I probably should have established my darks and lights better. But youre right I also need to tone down some of the highlights and reflective light. Haha Sometimes I just get carried away when I am painting. Thanks for the visual help. I will keep this in mind on my next digital painting.
