So harder difficulties…bring it on.
For all the rage that these games induced, I still love them. I think what I liked most was the nearly endless combos for each weapon. You could truly pick your favourite and outright master it. Although some were obviously better than others. Really looking forward to more blood because the last two for Xbox were kid’s games.
The difficulty of the first one though… Sweet Jesus Fuck. It dropped a lot by NG2. I figure they’ll continue the trend because they’ve realized that brutal difficulty tends to alienate people and therefore lowers sales.
NGII is a technical mess which is too bad cuz when it works right it’s really really fun and the game has just straight up bad ass, incredibly fun weapons to use.
NGB is the best one so far tho. It’s polish is enviable and each difficulty is almost like playing a new game. The enemies got smarter, they introduced new enemies that you didn’t even see on Normal Mode (Like White Crabs and Basts) every weapon was worth using, even the chucks, and some truly memorable boss fights. Alma 1 is just legendary. Right up there with Phantom from DMC1.

as long as they can make it harder the right way instead of simply multiplying the number of assholes throwing shit at you from off-screen… the harder settings for NG2 got so over the top with that bullshit.
i honestly found NG2 to be more difficult to beat on MNM… but without the same level of satisfaction, it seemed more luck based than 1. Where you would go in with the same strategy to a fight that was a winning strategy… but only if you don’t get too unlucky with enemy’s circling to blind spots and or backing up and tagging you with explosive shuriken…
man idgaf what ya’ll say, ng1 and ng2 ( yea, i said it ) are masterpieces within the genre next to dmc3 and bayonetta. ng2 difficulty should be improved upon.
lets hope they dont make the story a cluster fuck of stupidity and confusion.
First game takes place in some mystical land that doesn’t exist. Second game takes place here on earth I suppose. Oh, and the Statue of Liberty has a fucking ninja display
NG1 takes place in Japan and in a small empire named Vigoor which was designed with the idea of multiple cultures having lived there in the past as well as present. It’s earth just with some liberties taken which really isn’t that huge a stretch.
I actually find it kind of funny when people criticize NGO/B/S for having a story that makes no sense when it is incredibly straight forward and simple and the library provides a good deal of history for Vigoor that really fleshes the empire out.
NGII makes no fucking sense tho, but that games stupid in so many places, narrative is hardly something worth mentioning.
Scans look great, i love me some NG. Hope theres some gameplay footage at E3.
lol @ people who actually wants a good story from action games. yea, because games like dmc3 and bayonetta are one of the best action games of all time because of they’re deep plots right? all ng3 needs is solid ass gameplay.

I liked NG2 and yeah it was hard but for the wrong reasons to be honest. Not being able to see rocket ninjas shooting at you isn’t difficult it is cheap.
