Yes, I knew what I was getting myself into. I’d seen this thread, and this one as well. I wasn’t going to go out my way to play with you based on that track record. But last Sunday, he saw me on 2DF and asked if I wanted to play Fighter’s History Dynamite / Karnov’s Revenge. It’s pretty hard for me to turn down a match of that, so I said sure. He said he would be back in 10 or 15 minutes and then we’d play.
2 hours later, I was still waiting. I did some other things during that time and even played someone in another game, and still hadn’t heard anything from him. By that point I had to leave, so we didn’t play.
Yesterday FHD was added to GGPO and I played like a madman. SaDo shows up while I’m playing someone else who was new to the game but wanted to play with me anyway. SaDo demanded that I stop my current game so I could play him, and called the guy I was playing a “scrub”. I thought that was pretty rude, so I just played on. Unfortunately by that point I was also getting pretty tired, so those were my last games of the night.
Tonight, SaDo shows up on GGPO right after I got done playing some Japanese guy. I’d wanted to stop and get something to eat, but figured I might as well play him now. Unfortunately it had not been a good night for GGPO - black screens everywhere with games refusing to start. Tried a few times and no go, so we decided to play on 2DF.
There he immediately starts ranting in chat about how much GGPO sucks. Right before the match starts he says I’m “not helping the online karnov scene in the slightest by playing on ggpo”. What?
At some point in the match some weird lag kicks in, and after I win the first game he complains about dropped inputs. In the second game it happens again, and he starts blaming me for being laggy. After I win the 3rd game, this happens:

Look dude, I know there was lag. I’m not denying that in the slightest. But I’d been playing on GGPO earlier that night and NOT ONCE did I experience the type of lag we had in our match. Not once. And yet you accuse me of lagging it up. Come to think of it, the night before in GGPO I remember you saying someone else was too laggy to play with (probably a Japanese guy, which is understandable since you’re not on west coast, but still). Maybe, just maybe, the lag isn’t everyone else’s problem… it’s yours!
Too bad, it’s a shame to see someone get so mad over FHD.
