Bad games to all the A3 players who play perfectly smooth games until they’re dizzied and then all of a sudden the game lags like we have a 300 ping difference. That’s just really sad.
I used to really enjoy playing online but lately it’s not much fun at all. Whoever isn’t dropping instantly is crying incessently about character choice or style of play. What happened to all the decent -> good level players on 2DF?

I think there’s some online rules that need to be discussed here. Just so we’re on the same page.
- You may NOT turtle. At All. I swear if you move backwards…
- Using A-Adon is cheating. That merits an auto ragequit.
- If you get beat by a girl, you are immediately considered the worst player ever and is OUT of the he-man woman haters club… Don’t dispute this, this is man law. What? You don’t think it exists? Prove me wrong then, bitch!
- Lag Dizzying is a viable tactic when I turn my torrents on. I have important anime to download, y’know.
- Telling everyone how you owned them online 10- whatever totally doesn’t make you a douchebag, especially if you do it in a game you really don’t care about. Just sayin.
- Taunting after a round is complete in 3S is expressly forbidden. You will be banned if more than one spec saw it and bitched about it.
7)Losing when spectators are joining is perfectly acceptable, and in fact, calling it out is even encouraged. Do that at all times. - Using Ken, Chun-Li, Yun or Urien in 3s is NOT ALLOWED. GET OUTTA HERE YOU FUCKING TIER WHORES.
- If you play MvC or XvSF, make sure to deny that you use 3p or 3k by insulting lesser opponents and thereby nullifying any sort of validity they have to their arguement.
- You don’t have to accept every challenge that comes your way that may prove that someone’s better than you. Make sure to add insults here too.

I was trying (TRYING) to practice Karin, which is suicide against someone so good; and at one point he’s baiting his V-Trigger, so instead of running in, I stood and taunted; so he gets butthurt, drops, and talks shit.

I’m pretty sure I was joking about the whole thing too. I just like the stupid codes of ethics people apply to online gaming and I wasn’t directing it to any one person in particular, just trends I see on GGPO/2DF. So no disrespect

I just like to apply the whole…“Don’t like it, then cry to your mom.” approach. I play the way I play, with the characters I play. I guess it’s the competitiveness of the the game itself that makes people go bonkers. It’s the same for all sorts of things. Sports, spelling bees. But it seems that fighting games are different, because your characters have set moves, and you’re not directly there throwing Hados and shit. It’s that feeling of “god if I was there…” sort of thing in my opinion.
Also, it’s the giant Napoleon complexes or One up complexes that people have that drives the online scene. The “Oh I kicked your ass, you’re garbage, you fail at life. Get off my server, scrub.” sort of thing you see.
Online anonymity + fighting games= douchebaggery. For sure.
You just learn that if you ever confront these losers and make them step away from their computer screens to meet you mano a mano at some real event, they quickly back off. QUICKLY.
That’s why I’m glad I have people who play SF in my town. We’re cool with each other and we just enjoy playing the game with each other. Yeah we get mad and curse and talk shit about each other, but none of it is meant badly or to berate someone. Just shit talk between friends.

Before 3s came out, the majority of SRK revolved around Alpha3. At that time there were far fewer of us playing it.
When 3s became available I’d say 90% of the A3 population migrated to 3s, and with the newer game came newer faces.
Furthermore, the KOF crowd doesn’t come to this forum, hence the most popular 2df/GGPO game has the most BGs on this forum. (Well second in popularity, KOF has way more players)

MAJOR roffles at someone named “kushy” They challenged me and got utterly destroyed. then claimed that they were on the phone. Then called me a noob and said everyone who sucks uses Karin cause Karin is an easy character. So I switch to Dan and lay the smack down more; and then the person starts calling me a nerd and all this crazy shit (after calling me a noob, wtf?). Then they said they have only played for a week; and the nonsense continues. THEN I make a comment about losing to Dan and they say that they don’t even know who the hell dan is they’ve started playing today.
It went on this for awhile…all cause they talked shit and sucked and had to cover it up.
