I love that you don’t see “recent posts / news” at the top anymore. No more down scrolling in the subforums <3.
I’d not mind “latest news” at all tho, since I’ve only bookmarked a character sub forum and usually don’t visit the frontpage. just not at the top, anywhere at the right right / left side would be appreciated.

It’s actually a pretty terrible change. The frontpage is cluttered with so many scripts and ads that it takes me (and plenty of other people) forever to load, and will actually hang a browser sometimes. At least the ‘recent news’ box let me jump directly to a news post without having to wade through the front page. Oh well, I know SRK needs that ad revenue, gotta’ get those frontpage hits. I might just grab an RSS extension for Chrome and try to use that instead.
Wow. For weeks they get people complaining about that box and as soon as they take it out, people want it back. There is no pleasing everyone.
The box was just misplaced. (and recent posts was useless²³²³² with that frequency of posts on this forum). I don’t want the box back at the top, but wouldn’t mind it at the side [or at the bottom for all I care]. This way everyone should be pleased.
Thanks to SRK staff for returning the ‘Recent News’ feature! Makes the site much more usable for a large amount of folks that get creamed by the front page.
