They’re gonna be cheap for years then because with the talent on the team they’ll never do bad enough to draft one and there isn’t a ton of QB depth coming down the drafting line.
I doubt it. Dallas isn’t too stupid, they know he’s liable to be cut anyway and Dak has been impressive enough in Preseason to give them some leverage. If Dak and Zeke weren’t killing it they’d be fucked, but they’ve done well enough to avoid them having to get wrecked in a trade for a suitable stopgap.
They lost Romo and the no. 2 on the depth chart. The fact is they NEED a backup even with Dak starting. Sanchez may or may not get released but even if he does you’ve got waivers. Throw them a seventh round pick and call it a day. Otherwise they should sign a guy like Mike Vick or Mettenberger.
It’s because of the fact that they can look for a Number 2 rather than a Number 1 that allows them to pass on having to outright trade for Sanchez. They can afford to take Vick or Mettenberger as a Number 2 and hope that Dak isn’t the third QB that’s wrecked.
I respect his want to play, but shit dude think of the reprecussions. Even Joe Nameth payed the price. Luckly dudes respected him for playing through jacked knees so much they didn’t hit him hella hard. Lets hope people give Romo the same treatment.
Romo fucked up his back on just a standard hit, which is saying something considering what “standard” QB hits are in this day and age. At this point a stiff breeze would cripple him.
Right now weekday after 5 is winning, if that weekday was the 6th or 7th I’d be in there. My other draft is on the 7th, I could always try to swing both at once. Would be better than autodrafting, only positive to autodrafting is that you can talk shit about how you autodrafted when you win against anyone.
Did you see what Devon Still did to Carson Palmer? No flag but the league will send him a letter for that. Hit him so hard his helmet flew off. Now if that was poor Tony…
