One time I was playing Marvel and I was getting my ass kicked. I was down to my last character and the other guy had his whole team. Just when I was about to loose hope coach Brandon kicks the door down and jumps in the room. He says to me that with his help I can win the match and for only $5 he would coach me to victory. I hand him 5$ and next thing I know I get a perfect on the other guy with one character. After that he gives me a nod of approval and jumps out the window. Later I go to pick up the pieces of my broken beyond repair door and I am puzzled by the perfect I got after 2 of my characters were dead, then I remember that coach Brandon coached me and I am no longer confused.

Also, I can bring a ps2 that can play all these imports (without swap magic) and I can also bring XI, NGBC and slash. If we need another swap magic for some reason though, I’ve got 3.6 with the slide card.

The Universary area has a bunch of hotels within about 1-2 miles of the place, and there’s a bunch of Inns around the Concord Mills Mall, about a 5 minute drive up I-85.

I talked to the shop’s computer genius…he was one of the pioneers for DC emulation movement…according to him, they should be good, but if you could bring some copies either later today to test them out to make sure…I’ll be there for a good chunk of today.
I would appreciate it, as that would put some of the pressure off some people if we can get all of the Dreamcast stuff taken care of.
Almost all DC’s can play burned discs (just a few of the VERY first runs couldn’t). Unfortunately, there is no way I can get up there before Saturday. I have work 10 AM - 10 PM tomorrow (er… today).
I’ll go ahead and burn a couple of copies each and I’ll be bringing my DC converter which works great on my Tekken 5 stick (don’t know how well it will work with MAS/SFAC sticks).
Also, my little brother may be coming to the tournament, but he will just be playing casuals. Will he need to pay the $10 location fee?

We should have all the copies of Marvel and CvS2 (3 each) we need now, so nobody has to bring anymore unless they want a few extra TVs for casuals.
And yes, everybody who enters the store needs to pay the $10 door fee.
But fortunately, that $10 is good for the whole entire day. The $10 is actually a discounted rate that the owner, DeToX, is giving us since the normal 1-day pass is $15.
HEY! New these forums, but Im def heading out tomorrow! Im actually using sick hours to leave work cough cough…Had no idea 3S is still so big in Charlotte. I threw a tourney here at my store off S.Tryon but it was only about 15 people. Pretty excited!
One question: we using ps2 pads and arcade sticks…or whatever you want to play on?
