It’s people like you that make me look bad.
How many times must we go through this whole “drought” thing?
Because they weren’t any guilty gear, tekken, vitua fighter, KoF, Melty Blood, Arcana Heart, or various other games released in that time span.
Capcom Should make FUC2, because it’s the only fun game they still have the whole original staff to make for them.
Because 50k sales totally put a dent in the 1.4 million+ copies of SFxT Capcom moved.
Also don’t expect any games from reverge anytime soon, Skullgirls barely got made. Ahad and crew have essentially 0 drive to make another game and the fact that skullgirls got finished is a fucking miracle.
Stop responding to members who joined today, it was clearly a troll.
You know… I liked CVS1 presentation FAR more than CVS2… Come to think of it…
Capcom should finally make Street Fighter 3 revision #4… I think we’re all ready for it and is the only logical (based on the timeline) progression in the series… And even then when they fuck that shit up to hell, I will still keep playing 3rd Strike because it’s so damned perfect.
But on the real, I’d love another Rival Schools. I’d buy a Powerstone cabinet if I could find one to show my admiration of that game as well.
I’d also like to see another Alpha full of silly shenanigans and a parry system. As long as they put in Makoto, Remy, Sean, and Ran Hibiki I’ll give a try for kicks.
Because this person expects that every game must be taken as seriously as an HIV test …
Power Stone was a silly, fun title. If you bothered learning its mechanics truly… No one gave a fuck. It’s a party game kinda in the same ranks as Smash Bros1 & 3. (Insert Melee is a real fighting game here complaints and whatnot).
If it was meant to be uber competitive then the people and the companies would market it as such… To hold PS in the same category and judge on the criteria of SF2 and other “holy” FG’s is what poets like to call: Pretentious
That is exactly what I got out of his post. Rule #1: Every fighting game ever made should always be taken seriously and played in a competitive manner…
yes
Smash 64 was a pretty goddamn serious game bro.

SG isn’t even finished yet dude.
There’s still things to fix and characters to make.
Of course they’re not going to think about making another game anytime soon.
just make third strike again
make it forever
THIRD STRIKE
Well… Didn’t know that. You gotta understand. Around that age I was still playing on a pad not a stick:coffee:
Fucking this, people are missing out on a masterpiece…
If only 3rd strike would come out on PC.
I love SF4 but variety would be nice. Pls noone say “get SFxT”. Already happened, already sold to someone else. That damn game is an albatross.
HSSF2T: HD Remix
Now with balanced Akuma.
We need a new game. Something without all the bullshit stereotypes and shit from Street Fighter. Something brand new. A game with a whole new cast of characters that we can play, something that can draw in new fans without using 20 year old storylines (everyone in the SF world has been doing the same exact shit since SFII). When is the last time Capcom made a new title? When’s the last time any company made a new title? In the past ten years there’s been Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Blazblue, Skullgirls, Melty Blood… and that’s it, I think. We need another new title. I know everyone is fond of the classics, but as people have learned with SFIV and MVC3… sometimes the classics are better left classics.
This. Heck, the guy who designed the battle system of VSav also did the same for MvC3/UMvC3 (in addition to 3S, A3 and MvC2).
I’m going to play devil’s advocate here because this post needs to be put under a microscope…
“Why the fuck would you create unbalanced games on purpose, then release balance patches”
I believe you are referencing Ono’s Yun/Yang AE comment on balance due to the twins inclusion. Their “imbalance” sparked heated debates and crit on their current impact on the game. I don’t defend Ono one bit but I can tell you that zero dev’s make a game unbalanced just because they think it would be cool. Seeing how they spent so much time with patches and other efforts to create a well rounded game I can assure you that they never intended on alienating anyone. After all it can be difficult to monitor the scope of a characters balance in a game with just a few loc tests and modest beta testing.
“Powerstone was NOT a good game”
Powerstone is a wonderful game. My friends and I enjoy it and play it a ton. Is it balanced or a hardcore fighting game? Who cares. Nobody plays Powerstone to win bucketloads of cash, they play it because enables four pals to duke it out in a variety of box arenas with crazy supers. Nuff’ said. Don’t call it out. It’s a lighthearted game and personally I would welcome Capcom even putting up some mild consideration towards a new title.
“A new vampire savior\DS game would definitely be bad.”
We simply cannot say and speculation is all we have. I agree with you that it’s one of the very best games Capcom ever released and in fact it is one of my very favorite of all time. However, I feel as much of a labour of love VS was, much of it probably ended up that way due to a happy accident. Sure a lot of things were intended and calculated to a vast degree but don’t make it out like it’s flawless. There is some dumb stuff in that game but it does not diminish how great it is as well. No game is perfect, so leave it at that.
“The biggest problem with sf4 is their lack to adjust the game. Mechanically, sf4 and sf is general is just very bland compared to modern standards. They keep using all these old ass elements and never allow the game to progress.”
I hate to break it to you but Street Fighter is rather tame in the mechanics for a reason. People want it that way and for the one’s that don’t they have a large array of games at their disposal with similar formats as to not appear overwhelming or jarring. The primary series of SF (ST, 3S, AE etc. and all subsequent titles) all carry very basic mechanics and focus on core 2D fundamentals rather than flash and additives to change the landscape of the metagame. If people want running and rolls they play KOF. If they want flash, damage, and mobility they play Marvel. If they want aggressive mix-ups and eccentric characters with universal tools they play Guilty Gear. The creativity does not stop at SF. So leave it alone. If you want all that stuff go play CVS2 or something that gives you a little bit of everything. We have many great games we can play throughout the history of 2D fighters and many more to come so stop trying to turn SF into something it’s not and just let it be.
Mortal Kombat Vs Capcom, Konami Vs Capcom, or a Mega Man universe fighting game.
Heck, I thought that a cross-over with MK is more likely to happen compared to SFxT.
