Its been a little bit but here is the details:

Where:
Milpitas Golfland

When:
Friday Aug.1

Time:
7pm

Cost:
$5. per Game Plus cost per game 1 token.

What:
Tourney for Marvel Vs Capcom 2 and SNK2.

More Details:

This tourney is a double elimination tourney. Due to time this will be 1 game = 3 rounds. (Best of 3 rounds). This will not be best of 3 games. If you lose the the first time you go to the loser bracket. Best of both brackets will play best of 5 games in final.

Prizes:
1st place = 60% of pot + $10 in tokens
2nd Place = 25% of pot + $8 in tokens
3rd Place = 15% of pot + $6 in tokens

Other:
Golflands Code of conduct in full effect! As well as golflands tourney special of $3 for 1 slice of pepp or cheese pizza and a small soda and 10 tokens. The tourney will be held on the Golf arcade side.

So who’s actually showing up to the tilt tourney or is everyone plan on going to svgl? I’m just curious about the possible head count on this … because if no one is going to show up then svgl would be the spot to go to… Also remember that they’re 3 tourney’s this weekend. Thurs @ berk,fri @ mgl and Sat at tilt or Svgl… SO everyone get ur skills and pratice on and lets make this work!

To be honest, if it wasn’t for the fact that I’m running the Newpark tournaments now, I’d want to go to the Sunnyvale tournament.

But, to all of those out there that aren’t going to sunnyvale, always consider the newpark tourney, especially if it’s close to home.

Surprised to see GGXX there. It’s about time I saw it at an arcade.

But, was I the only one that had difficulty with the 1P joystick? I couldn’t even do most of Venom’s moves. That was harder for me than any time I played before on the CvS2 cabinet.

i was there from 9-10. i was surprised also that ggxx was there last week. controlls there are a bitch though. not only is the 1p joystick busted, but it seems the 2nd player has it messed up as well. when i try dashing FORWARD i dash backwards!! cvs2 cabinet is hard to get used to. i’m not a big fan of 360* controlls. “corner” blocking and dashing is hard, and pulling of an easy dp is tough on that stick too. on other stix, i press 6 then i just let go of it for a quick second, then 2,3+lp. i can’t pull that off. i tried putting it in neutral right after 6 and just went 623+lp with out going to neutral, i have problems with that method becaues the game reads it as 6323+p . the cvs2 stix are so friggin tight i feel like a turtle moving across the screen. i counted in my head how many times i would have pulled off a dp, it was 10 /= and the many opportunities to do a super was 7. is this just something u have to get used to, or is it just gonna take a miricle!?

i guess its something you get used to…because i can to dp failry well i only have trouble when my character is facing right but i’ve always had trouble doing that motion in that direction…
