you have a lot more time than that to call the hailstorm… a lot of hit confirmation with that combo… and as i said… there’s a lot you can do, it’s just a matter of, what do you hope to achieve after what you’ve done… are you looking at damage, setups for resets, what?

Cyke+f+hk throw can get you an air combo. If you get the timing down, you can sj.hk in the corner for a free corner combo.
On Sent, you can do Cyke+f+hk sj.lk sj.mk addf hold toward Sent sj.hp sj.hk [inf]
or simply wavedash behind and combo

c.jab is better than c.lk beacuse it prevents them from jumping… what you do, one can just jump forwards, as green said, and will rock you out.
c.jab will prevent jumping… but you want to prevent more than just that, so i call drones. that applies some intro chip damage, prevents a recovery, and if i get hit by an assist, it will prevent me from having more damage done to me in the begining, if i got sentinel out before the assist hits me. the other way, if i’m running cyclops… i take a look at their hands… if they’re going to stay low, i jump forwards, air dash, call clops, hailstorm or air combo at the begining of the round for free…
a quick piece of advice for you, however. don’t waste meter. by that i mean, with storm, you don’t typically want to do air combo LA xx LS bullshit WITHOUT the DHC option. when you’re falling, you have an air dash and float only. if you did that to magneto, he can easily mix you up, since he has a major speed advantage on you, despite your priority. remember, in marvel, little shit doesn’t matter, which is why frame data is completely useless. OHHHH 10 whole frames before sent’s c.hk hits… yet people still rock that shit on everybody, and fuck them up for not blocking it… lol
if you want to super with only one meter, hailstorm is pretty much your best option. LA xx LS is good if y ou’re low, or against sentinel… almost anything he can do while you’re falling is punishable with hp. when you’re against cable, keep in mind the justin/x fight. LEARN from the matches people. lol. justin faked x out by keeping the player indicator on the P1 side, and when the indicator dissappears, right before your character appears, he switched sides and got a free ahvb on his storm… be CAREFUL against cable… 1 hit = death. sentinel has a hard time hitting her while grounded, which is why it’s so easy to get the infinite if the sentinel isn’t careful.
thanx a bunch man today was probably the most challenging day for me in the arcade at skool… this guy was rocking his strider-variety/doom-AAA/cyc-AAA and i got owned the first round plain and simple with storm first and cable behind me… i saw the team before i even put the quarter in and unfortunately its a new machine so that means… no cammy or ken to i was stuck with akuma for trying to break the trap but it worked only till he got nailed a few times… then he did wat he does best… die really fast…
i wanted to rushdown and cross up but wit doom and strider it was like going through an obstacle course which i mostly had no success… so i got owned the first round…
then i picked Storm-A/Cable-B/Cyclops-B and thats when things started looking up… i owned that team in minutes wit cable(i changed up the order to cable first at the vs. screen)… baiting doom out wit cyc’s assist and AHVB doom over and over… strider was done once doom was dead, he played a nice cyc but only if he got close to u so i spamed hp’s, grenades, storms assist and he was stuck i got through the round wit jus cable and a lil more then half life… we traded wins back and forth… i won a few with time over, runaway wit storm and whirlwindsxx hailstorm. i think it ended up 5-6 he won the last game and i was out of dollar bills…im starting to play A LOT better wit storm, the AC LAxxLS is coming almost as second nature now but im still workin on crossups and basically my dexterity with the controls on her, i had never faced a strider doom with her and needless to say i was kinda stuck on what to do so i went to runaway and double typhoons, and whirlwinds and hailstorm at a distance wen it was safe, shes the one character im not dropping and illjus build around her… my question is with storm on point like i had in the first round what can u do against strider doom and a good one at that?.. this guy played one mean strider/ doom… props to him
I hate strider/doom so much chip damage with dooms aa and striders orbs…
typhoon hailstorm doom while calling commando to protect you from strider…
storm counters strider badly… but what you did is fine… just run away.
thanx a bunch… jrod yea i quickly started to not like strider doom after the first match… i actually did get that off once during one of the matches and it worked… cyclops did save me a bunch of times wen he paused or stopeed the trap for a second… i actually didnt have to use storm all that much once i switched cable to first but i tried rushing strider down but i jus called dooma nd i would get behind him but the best i could do was trade rocks for hp and i still ended up vulnerable… the runaway was wat saved me from the trap strider and doom couldnt really catch me or much of n e thing… is there an effective way to rush strider down wen doom is still alive?
rushing strider/doom down is like rushing MSP down… it only ends in you losing.

i totally agree. sometimes , you really have to play on the defense side and look for small openings/mistakes, a well-timed commando can prevent doom+orbs to chip you. try also to be safe in calling in hailstorm, some strider can be very fast and teleport just before storm does hailstorm. in short, just try not to get trapped by S/D.
