Hello, can someone direct me to a thread that contains all the essentials a newbie needs? I’ve been looking all over and the only tutorials I’ve seen are the moves and I don’t understand none of them. If there’s a tutorial section or w/e, I haven’t found it. Would be much appreciated if all the terms would be defined to like, j.h etc

Here you go buddy. As a fellow newbie the wiki really helped me out. Rather than go straight to one of the characters, focus on the getting started / terminology / game mechanics sections first.
From what I can tell:
L, M, H, S = Light, Medium, Heavy, Special attack buttons
c.L, c.M, c.H = crouching Light, Medium, Heavy
j.L, j.M, j.H = jumping Light, Medium, Heavy
