New to SSF4/Fight Stick/Akuma... Help!

Hello FGC family!!! I was recently inspired to play SSF4 AE after watching the god-Like Evo 2013 fighters. I really wanna main akuma hes my favorite street fighter character plus i always go for the villain! My trouble’s are im new to street fighter. Then on top of that im learning to use a fight stick. Im currently using the fight stick that came with the “injustice battle edition”. It has a standard square gate? My question is why are some the inputs so hard? Could it be my fight stick ( see photo below)? Or is akuma one of those characters who requires god-like execution? Also if you have any BEGINNERS advice about akuma and perhaps a training mode regiment for a noob like myself or the game in general it would be much appreciated!!! Thanks in advanced guys!!!

Hate to say this but Akuma is more for advanced players due to his low health, execution-heavy gameplay. Akuma may have a lot of tools available to him, but you have to be experienced enough to know what to do at any given situation. I’d advice you to start with Ryu and get comfortable with him before moving to Akuma.

Great advice im def gonna take it! Out of all the shotos how would you rank them (from easiest to use, to most difficult to use)?

never mind sorry. there were 2 guys in my facebook group. one who just started to play akuma and the other who started to play stick. got them mixed together. but yeah agree with prime.

BTW DONT EVEN CLICK ON THE SETUP THREAD UNTIL U HAVE GOOD FUNDAMENTALS WITH AKUMA. fundamentals = footsies, spacing, zoning

Akuma is one of the easier characters to use execution wise (But you have to know a lot of game mechanics).

It doenst matter which stick or par or whatever you use, you can play with anything.
