Raekwon is really awesome and is just very chill. He will play till either he has to get off or you have to leave.
Damdai will play me in 50 or 60 match set in ST on GGPO but he is not one to give pointers or help new people break down the game. Granted he will not use O. Hawk against me but i understand that because of who I play. I hate O. Ken.
Chris Galeon: He plays quite frequently and also gives pointers and tips on how to tighten up your gameplay. He will also teach new tech to those who ask.
MarsGatti: Is amazing and will do almost anything for new players in ST. I will say he is one of the people who made me really enjoy getting my ass beat but also taught me alot about the game and alot about ST Guile. Probably the best ST Guile in America.

The thing that gets me the most about these top players (mainly the jwong era crew) is:
You hit buttons and move a stick just like me, so what makes you better off than me? That you are the almighty “BigFartXXKen” and people know you because you placed 1st in that one tournament 2 years ago and now that gives you a license to be a shithead to new players? I’m sure if I promoted the ever loving shit out of my own name every day for a year, I’d be close to the “Known” status too, but unfortunately that won’t happen.
If I ever ask a pro player for casuals and they say they will only play for money, Ill call them out right then and there. Not because of the game, but because of the attitude. If you want to help out the FGC and train some people, that’s awesome, but don’t ever go looking for a handout from Johnny No Name just because he is worse than you at the game. I just don’t understand this mentality. This would be like Chris going “Welp guys, looks like I am consistently the best in this game, so from now on, it’s a dollar a match only” and everyone rushing to open their wallets (no disrespect Chris because you don’t do this and I love you for it, only an example).
Another thing, why should you have to bend over backward to fly someone out here, only because it “might” bring in more players? Pro players (lol "pro players, what makes a pro player anyways?) tend to, as Jason said, expect things once you open the door for them. Give an inch, they take a mile and the street signs along the way too. I understand that for a top player it has to be a daunting task to make it to every tournament and socialize with all the players, but it doesn’t take much energy to be cordial and say “Sure, you know, let’s play a first to 5” not “Time is money and money talks, friendo”.
It’s just really telling of the way the top players handle themselves. Ya’ll don’t get discouraged about any of this shit, TN is getting ready for a thunderstorm over the South and it’s going to hit like that one movie with Helen Hunt and that dude with the tornado and cows flying. Fuck it, get ready.

I can’t teach u the timing for his Instant tk Raijinkin through message but I thought about it I and can give u some pointers for initially starting the combo.
These will make it easier once you find the timing. I’m not sure if you know these things already but they don’t seem to be public knowledge.
Always use D Iaido kick during juggles. It’s always a lot more consistent.
When transitioning from Ex Raijinkin to Lancer do the Lancer as soon as possible. It makes them fall the slowest.
I’ve tested various timings. It gives ample time to do tk Raijinkin w/o feeling rushed and accidentally doing his ground version.
Concering the tk Raijinkin death loop u can use with the A or C version to start and can actually alternate to guarantee not dropping the combo.
I’m actually starting to prefer the C version to start. it especially helps if you are deep in the corner.
Lastly when doing the loop starting from ex Raijinkin don’t start the tk motion until u see the fireball disappear.
It gives greater juggle height than doing it as soon you recover.
I dont really understand why you would pay to fly out top players anyway. Most of them are driven by money and “fame” so if you want them to come which should increase overall attendance just make the pots stupid high.
As for the events on the front page what a joke. Aside from the random bullshit and the funny moments 50,000 Civil War, which was a RVA tourney, got coverage but only cause like the well known EC players were showing up. Much love to Robin and the gang in VA for keeping FGs alive and well but there scene is no bigger then Mem and unless it changed a lot in 5 years is still smaller. I know they pull good players from NoVA and SoVA but um none of them did nearly as well in FR as TN did. It may have been an evo qualifier but if thats all it takes like Dream said MWC should get promoted like crazy. I love FGs and some of the community but many times it feels like a giant circle jerk.
The issue regarding pro players revolves around them trying to make an actual living off playing fighting games. The more you play, the better you get, the better you get, the more money you make from winning tournaments. The more money you make from winning tournaments, the less time you have to spend at a real job. The less time you spend at a real job, the more time you have to play, and the circle continues.
Now they’re in a position of all these people wanting to play them so they can either prove themselves, or just try to get better, and they see a money making opportunity in that. Also kind of has to do with them not wanting to give free matchup experience against themselves, slightly lowering their chances of winning tournaments. Kind of a dick move, but I can’t really blame them.
