I don’t know why anyone would argue against input display in training mode. Just having it on when I am in training mode and paying attention to it has helped my motions become way more precise over the years. I wish I had 10 years ago. I guarantee no one’s inputs are perfect and is beyond benefiting from the input display tool - it is useful for obtaining proper execution.
Lol, well of course people practice. I am not sure how that’s a factor. I don’t think anyone is making the argument that they expect input display to correct their execution problems. However as a supplement to practice, an input display is an invaluable tool that really should be in every fighting game.
I also would like to commend Bishop having a gif at the ready for damn near every situation.

Just rush him down. Seriously, Vega has some of the worst defense ever. As long as you look out for backflip, he’s free on wake up forever. If you have a big life lead, he can be turtled out pretty hard too. As long as you aware of his dumb little gimmicks, and the fact that his jump ins are some of the best in the game, you should be fine. Also he has a kara throw, nearly as dangerous as Ken’s because Vega has the fastest walk speed in the game ( tied with Akuma and Bison and someone else I can’t remember ) Scarlet terror is a joke, and wall dive is no good against Bison( I’m assuming that’s who you were using. ) Also don’t focus too much, most Vega players just sit there waiting for a crouch mp to touch you, and will EX walldive after it connects regardless of it being blocked, focused, connecting, etc.
Yeah that’s some good advice, I guess I’m just predisposed to not trying to rush down charge characters because rushing down Chun/Guile/another Bison etc just doesn’t work. I tried to footsie and that didn’t work either though lol. I got outplayed pure and simple, just gotta learn.
Best way to justify the benefit of input display, GGXX and up. The little blue flashes for FRC timing! I would have never figured that shit out on my own lol.
With Bison I usually just knock him down once and they keep trying to escape in different ways and end up dying instead of just blocking Bison’s extremely simple throw “mixups”.

I’m going to send in a request to capcom that they remove training mode, and all other menu options besides arcade. It’s not arcade perfect until I turn on the game and play arcade mode with no options whatsoever until someone drives to my house and presses the start button on the second controller.
Training mode is amateur hour.
