I seriously think people are just imagining things. Like, I don’t know about ps3 but Xbox 360 EX-moves come out just like on arcade, xbox1, ps2. If people are just trying their absolute hardest to find every little flaw, this happens. Peeps can’t just appreciate shit. Also, if this version isn’t arcade perfect then I’m pretty sure capcom just literally can’t make a port that is.
GG’s Jacob and Graham. I’m bad against/with shotos in this game but it was lagging between me and Jacob. I probably should have just turned of my laptop and whatever. It wasn’t too bad, but I was hearing parries that weren’t even happening, and couldn’t block cross ups
Wow Mak got nerfed…shorter range on EX Kara…less health…thats just…wow.
Anyway I dont see how Yun got it too badly actually, I mean dive kicks have to be done higher sure but didnt it say he gets +2 frames of block/hit stun. So you have to be higher in the air to dive kick but you can also hit the opp higher up and still combo or do a block string. His shoulder didnt get touched so its still basically un-punishable for most of the cast, he can still walk around and throw out that crazy good cMP too. And unless I missed something he will still be able to basically palm for free.
Edit: Hold on EX Lunge -1…negative FUCKING 1 on block? Oh good so now its just a totally safe option for getting in and if your opp only has 4 frame pokes there is a good chance you can still put them in a mix up anyway
Kinetik: I don’t think every game has inherent lag because if that was the case you would be able to feel it with EVERY fighting game and Tekken doesn’t have it, MK9 doesn’t have it…I don’t even think MVC3 has it either, it’s only “certain” games…
Arson: All this imagination was the same thing you said about PS3 SF4 NOT having any input delay, don’t you recall? I’m not trying to find “flaws” with the game, it just has some issues…if you have been waiting for 3s then it can do no wrong but it’s whatever to me if the developer can’t do things right or GGPO just causes weird issues…
Even Thubs doing a good job revisiting translations and improving them.
For example, if you go back to part one, they’ve redone Honda’s:
E. Honda
• Light Punch Headbutt gets its upper body invincibility back. However, any damage done when it’s in this invincible state has been toned down to 100 points.
• Lower body invincibility has been added to the Medium Punch Headbutt. SSF4 players who devised strategies for the light version will be able to come up with new technology for this move as well.
Also -1 on block is A LOT better than +1 on block. And the +1 in AE wasn’t spacing dependent, so I’m sure it’s -1 regardless of distance. I think overall they did a decent job nerfing Yun. A lot of it seems like just damage reductions, and then toning down a few of the more “mindless” parts of his game (EX lunge, EX command grab). I mean, he can still get in for free with EX lunge, you’re just not in the same immediate full screen mixup afterwards now.
3rd Strike online was released today for XBLA and you could feel the hype to play in the air. Surprise ranbat for 3Rd Strike online was presented during casuals day and it was on. Afterwards at Fox & Hound bar was trippy as usual. Ggs to all there.
Vids coming soon.
A.ll D.ay I. D.ream A.bout S.treet Fighter…three stripes nigga.
Let’s get it.
Also I agree with you on Yun. Damage reductions are always iffy if you don’t alter move properties. It’s like Pat said: “now the asshole playing him just gets to hit you more.” But I feel like overall they handled it well. He’s still gonna be a monster. That st. Mp still concerns me though…
Ooooh shit! Let the Cody bandwagon begin…smh. I swear I better not see anyone else from the Memphis scene even look at Cody on the character select screen.
I dont agree on any of the Yang nerfs. His U2 already barely does any damage and now it does even less with slower startup. Sigh…I really feel like he needed everything he had except for the stupid meter gain(which he still has) because once you learn the matchup he’s just a good solid character. Capcom should really just do more buffs and less nerfs.
Now everyone’s just gonna complain about Cody in this version until the next “update” then we’ll be back to dealing with Vanilla Sagat and Akuma. Sigh…SFIV
The +2 on block on dive kicks is a secret buff. Making his command grab start up slower might also be a secret buff so that he may be able to cancel cr.lk or st. lk into command grab and that be the new tick.
I don’t actually want to learn how to play the game.
That was my thought too. I mean it makes his cmd grab like Fei’s where he can combo it off a normal and if they block the normal the grab gets them because of its start up.
