Big Jake - thanks again for the games sir. I am REALLY focusing on keeping my mind clear during my problem matchups, ESPECIALLY Yun. I am also trying to think outside the box with my normals/footsies and I think some of that showed in our set. I’ll keep at it. Hit me up for games whenever yo. i have really been making an effort to play every day, even if all the time i can spare is just like, half an hour, and I’m seeing the results. I wanna keep it moving.
Erm… I don’t know a lot about Fei, but it seems like the biggest nerf is not being able to combo his standing jab into sweep anymore. 2nd rekka being more punishable is significant, but probably not as much at high level since it often isn’t done unless hit confirmed.
The Akuma board is flipping the absolute fuck out. Most of them are idiots, but after they fixed it I realized that it’s two frames more recovery after a LANDED forward throw. That is actually fairly bad. Forward throw is literally 3/4ths of his vortex. Right now his vortex is an absolutely miracle, or absolutely genius design, and that is sad to see it changed. I’m going to reserve judgement until I play it, but I can’t help but be a little unhappy. Fei got rocked in the butt, and thats funny. SF3OE is a masterpiece on PS3, I don’t care what anyone says. That shit runs better than GGPO offline and on.
Seemed absolutely fine when I played it tonight, honestly this complaint, not just you but other people talking about it, is the same thing we saw when people said that super “seemed” faster than vanilla etc.
I’m just seriously getting tired of 50/50’s and 75/50’s (option-selects) and all of the fucking guessing. Why should I have to sit here and just guess. I understand the meta-game. But, I’m getting bored of it.
I get to feeling this way sometimes as well. It feels like 75% of the game in some cases is just guessing especially against certain members in the cast.Were the older SF games like this at high levels as well?
Also I am surprised at some of the changes I saw on the front today. Some interesting buffs for Gen, if only they would fix his fucking stance change glitch but I gave up on that a while ago.
Mike: Is the Judo guy any good in VF. Goh I think his name was. That dude always looked fresh as hell and if I played VF I would want to use him.

Yea, he’s good, but he has a learning curve. That holds true for everyone but I heard Goh was like the second hardest character next to Akira. And I think it might be because he’s not overly flashy or have any fancy strings. He thrives off reversals and you’ll have to have a good grasp of fundamentals, solid defense and movement, to get the most out of him. Like, already knowing a bit about the other characters and their offense is a plus because most of the match Goh is punishing.
I didn’t like him in VF4Evo because I didn’t know how he was supposed to be played, but now I respect anyone who wins with him. Bishop uses him and can tell you more about him.
Lol Sev you and me are like FG twins. i used Goh in VF5, the one on PS2 where it was his and Brad’s first appearance. Also because I actually practiced Judo in high school and that guy is a Judo fiend.
For fucks sake man stop copying me damn lol. Yeah I did Judo for a while and loved it so him being a Judo guy is like a no brainer for me. If we get some kind of mini scene here for it I might play. Im holding off on 3SO for the same reason, I liked the game well enough but I dont want to put a ton of time into it if only 3 people are playing.
