Hey all,
My name is Alex. I am a SF4 player living in the RI Narragansett area. I am currently a URI student and have a house up here. I was just curious if anyone would be interested in getting together to chill and have a little tournament. Kind of Sucks because doesnt seem to be many players around here. But the CT border and Mass border isnt to far either. I was thinking of holding a tourney at my place. Have some brews, meet some new people and play SF4. We could put together alittle cash prize for the winner or something. Hopefully RI players come and some from Mass and CT. Maybe be the start of some consistent play in the area. Would anyone be interested? Thanks for your time.
I lived up that end of the state years ago and there really aint much comp. There are some smaller sessions going down in the Warwick area but your best bet would be to try and make it to one of Paul’s weekly sessions in Fall River, MA. Its gonna be your best bet to meet lots of RI and MA players. Plus it’s a way for us to meet you without showing up to your house just to meet Chris Hansen lol. How old did you say u was again?!?

We have a very very small scene here in eastern ct. I’m about probably 25 min away from you. just over the Connecticut border. We have about 4-5 people who play at my place on a weekly basis. There is about 2-3 other players in the area that play casually as well. I would come up to your place but it doesn’t really make too much sense to bring 5 people to your place instead of you coming here. Send me a message if you are interested.
there’s a group of 6 and growing playing in cranston on Thursday nites, almost every week
damn who all do you play with i might know them unless they all new players. i didnt realize there were so many ppl in RI actually getting competitive.

yea JPeasy and some guys play at my place every thursday, don’t know how competitive we are with the masses but its fun. I don’t have a place to host more people but we should get something together
You guys should try to make it to the tournament in fall river this saturday. It’s a great place to meet some of the players and get some good comp. This is actually interesting because after years of only a handful of players our local scene is finally growing. Just curious as to what games you guys play or if it’s just SF4? I look forward to hopefully gettin some games in with everyone.
Once Super drops a small contingent of some Pawtucket/Providence players will be in semi-full effect. Wherever the comps around, post it here man. Some of us are hungry to learn and level up.

The only scene in RI is either tekken or smash lol. Maybe that will change when super comes out.
Wow. I didnt even know there was any sort of tekken here. guys just go up to the wallcade on saturdays its only 20 mins away (15 if you speed) so everybody can meet and help each other out. like xeriak said its weird to go to somebodys place without knowing them from a hole in the wall because you never know what people are like. and i practically live in cranston so if a couple of you guys wanna go to pauls but dont have transportation i could give a couple of you a ride.
Ive been meaning to head to Wallcade on of these weekends. Just with work and all its been tough. But I guaranDANtee I will make one. And yes that does say guaranDANtee lol
