New P2P Game Server: 2DF FreePlay

I believe the different color user names are just to distinguish people when they’re chatting in the rooms Spectre.

Ah, it works. Thx for your help.

Did you take down the replays from super sundays? I cant seem to find them anymore.

PS, Im currently on vacation, I’ll be back next week.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone got this working in VMWare properly? I can connect, and even play a game, but I’m getting input delay measured in seconds it seems. I can run nFBA just fine alone it seems.

Fixed.

I recall seeing something about automated tournament brackets. Is this still being explored? I would love to be able to run random tournaments, especially with so many Canadian players on 2DF now.

Almost done.

Heres some games I’d really like to see on there and perfect for low delay, low lag 2 player. Puzzle De Pon (a much more competitive version of Bust A Move), Pop n Bounce (impossible to play on kaillera, perfect for 2dfighter), Metal Slugs, and Shocktroopers.

Of course, Super Gem Fighter too.

^Dude, you should of added Metal Slug 3.

That was the best one. But good shit on adding the first one, itll keep me busy until you add 3.

I will add all the others. Just want to see how the 1st one goes as it’s the first coop game added.

P.S. Also added Hyper Street Fighter 2: The Anniversary Edition

Sick, thanks!

This 2df has made me try out some new games. Fatal Fury Special, Twinkle Star Sprites, by far my favorite is Breaker’s Revenge. Every game I’ve mentioned in this thread, I look forward to play with anybody so get at me if you wanna play.

once again, this is awesome, damdai. i haven’t been able to get a smooth connection on GGPO with my school internet, but i’ve already had great connections on 2DF. thanks for everything. :china:

you always have badass av’s streak

Thanks man

BTW are you planning on adding a smoothing option ala GGPO?

HELP!!!

I am getting an error whenever I try to challenge a player, saying the following:

“Neither you nor the person you are challenging is able to host a game because your computers are unable to accept incoming connections on port 27886 UDP”

What does this mean? I am connecting via a Sprint Wireless broadband cellular connection via a PCMCIA card in my laptop. I am not on a router. How can I correct this damdai?

It means exactly what it says. I don’t know anything about your setup, but most commonly it means you have to forward the port in your router and/or open the port in any firewalls. You can still find other people to challenge, as long as they can accept incoming connections.

P.S. Wireless connections are notoriously bad for this type of gaming.

Yeah, unfortunately it looks like you’re right :frowning:

Damn I wish there was wireless technology coming that would cure latency. Still, the fact remains I am not using a router, so I don’t understand why it’s asking me to forward port 27xxx or whatever.

It isn’t specific to routers. A number of things can block incoming connections, most likely a firewall. Check if windows firewall is enabled.
