New P2P Game Server: 2DF FreePlay

I have a question. If someone stays idle for a while, do they get disconnected?

They should after 2 hours.

damn, sorry about that match we just had on ST. my computer’s display messed up and i had to reboot.

Hmm I don’t know if it works already. Because it was now more than 15 minutes for reseting my password and still no mail :/. I hope it comes today :D.

edit: Got it now. Yay

Wonders if damdai will answer my question via broken E-mail

Any word on a fix for this?

Which OS and browser version?

What question?

Post # 256

Just a quick note: the “your port is closed” issue that happens on the first run of each new client does seem to be caused by the fact that the client seems to be making the check while Windows Firewall is in the middle of waiting for you to give the program the green light.

I re-tested this with Little Mac, and he has all the same things happen that I do. And the same solution.

So basically, no problem, false alarm.

good shit so far but:

Where’s Rage of the dragons and Matrimelee

Playing RBS, it freezes up. It’s done it 5 times in less than two matches, and always at a DM if that makes any difference.

It’s done this today with vanilla nFBA and 2DF. So i don’t know if its’ my connection or what. But it’s happened against multiple people.

That just happens with nFBA sometimes. Nothing you can do but retry. =/

I know there are already some bugfixes in place for the next version - maybe that will be among them? crosses fingers

Anyone had an issue with it not recognizing roms? I have tried several folders, moving my roms, and changing the path to the new folder. The folder they are currently in I double checked by opening nfba and pointing it to the folder, and it found the games no problem. Whenever I try to run a game I get a zip not found error. I have been testing this by attempting to view replays, so if replays are screwy that would screw with my attempts.

If anyone would be okay with testing this out later with me, I don’t want to bother people trying to get in games while I’m trying to iron out bugs.

Exactly the same problem here.

OS : Windows Xp Professional SP2 x86, clean install.
Browser : FireFox 2.0.0.14

Okay, it works for me inexplicably now. I didn’t change anything but it works.

So, yeah.

Windows xp and I’m on the latest firefox.

weird. i can play games, but the client will NOT let me watch matches or play replays that are linked in the chat window. it keeps telling me that the roms are not found…yet i can play the games. rofl. odd. anyone else have this problem?

Yeah I have that exact problem, I can watch my own replays but not anyone elses?

Try firefox 2. It might not work with firefox 3.

Open freeplay_emu.ini and enter the path to your ROMs.
