Whoa there, you mean something like GGPO’s Dojo? That would be pretty much the best thing to happen to some of these smaller games we’ve been working on - no more spending hours to capture & upload videos!
If this is indeed the case, then thanks yet again. =)
This is the case. A summary of the features that I hope to have implemented this weekend:
[LIST]
[]Search, watch, and download replays from any user from any game via the website.
[]Rate and comment on each replay from the website.
[*]Watch replays from within the client itself via player right-click menu, with the options: Watch last match, Watch random match, and Watch highest rated match.

Get into your router. You need a direct (wired) connection to do this. You can usually find your router’s IP address number and default pass in a google search.
(I have a D-Link, so this may be reaching a bit.)
Look for an area called “Advanced=>Applications” or “Applications.”
I enabled and created an entry called “2dF FreePlay Client”.
Trigger port “27886-27886” and Public Port should be “80,” which is your port for the internet.
Of course, if you’ve done this already, I’m at a loss.
I first played ST and that was a lagtastic mess so, I joined the Alpha 3 room and played someone and the experience was much better.
No frame skips like in GGPO and virtually no input delay. The combos were definitely coming out a lot smoother and there hasn’t been any freezes and whatnot for me so far.
I’ll definitely be playing more often there, nice stuff!
The lag you experienced in ST has nothing to do with that particular game. It is entirely dependant on the connection between you and the person you are playing against.
Installed dotnet 3.5 or whatever, installed firefox plugin, opened ports, created account and all that shit.
I can get in the lobby and join a room but when I challenge or someone challenges me nothing happens at all after accepting. Nothing pops up or anything.
I plan on adding a shortcut to the start menu so you can launch it like a normal application. For now, if IE is your default browser, you can drag the “Play Now” link to the desktop. There a way to do this with other browsers to, but it involves some advanced configuration. You can google “<your browser name> clickonce” for instructions.
So i tried this again:
2DF FreePlay Client has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
I have net, i have the firefox plugin (although IE = same problem ), it “downloads” the client, and when it tries to enter the program, blam, dead!
I’ll be home in about an hour to help you troubleshoot. PM me your IM info. I’ll post the resolution here when we’re done. For now, have you tried rebooting?
sad losers really. TO be fair the client it is indeed really good I just played against with alot of people in south america ( excluding brazil ) and people in america and mexico and it went great the only issue is the sound goes funny sometimes thats all.
Well here is hoping for a speedy recovery. If the site was indeed hacked, it may be good to make the file an executable than to have to rely on the much more vulnerable site.
