Grits & Lee: Ugh, ok I toyed around with Rock for one night. Hell, he’s so limited that that’s all it takes lol. Grits, I’ll play you if you come around to a gathering or something. Wish the game was actually balanced, but whatever. Triple H has a few gimmicks. Played Rell today and got raped. Duh. Astaroth is a fucking douchebag. Like, why even have Rock, Mina, and Raph on the game when you got Asty, Kilik, and Amy? Lol smh. They need to put Bangoo in SCV and make him a grappler-brawler. With actually useful moves. Still have the ground grab games, but also the ridiculous followups of Astaroth. I’d be all over dude.
MVC and MK were cancelled…there wasn’t a soul for MK…we had interest for MVC but it was kind of surprising that only SF had good numbers…

Yeah, Rock, Mina, and Raph kind of got the shaft since their counterparts are better. Technically, Raph is the most useable of the three… Rock and Mina are lowest tier iirc.

On a serious note, I played with Mick today, trying to learn a new character from scratch. Basics first, etc. I’m terrible, omg.
Also, I would totally bring a setup to fight nights, but I don’t have a setup to bring. I have the game and the console (whether xbox or ps3) but I lack the television to play it on. XD

Blazblue people didn’t show because we have tournaments on the last Saturday of every month. Plus, they don’t play AE, 3S, or MK at all.
Honestly, I probably saved money since Marvel didn’t happen. Patrick was on his game, and I could only win if I got lucky with a happy birthday.

Edit - Astaroth: lolol yeah for real dude. I had seen the Hawk gimmicks before, but I still got hit with at least one Hawk dive to U1. I don’t actively play the match so I was like, damn. i need to rectify that with Jason. I tell you though, what gave me a problem wasn’t so much the gimmicks, it was your footsies and defense. You were teching all my throws and blocking well. Not jumping in st. rh range, etc. Only thing I could get mileage out of was Bison’s ambiguous ass crossup. You REALLY need to play AE, lol. Good games.

Really? I’ve always thought my footsies was the weakest area. I’m too impatient for footsies. “Get in grab range. GET IN GRAB RANGE!!!” is the only thing running through my head. lmao
As for defense, that’s just attributed to using grapplers for years. You have to be defensive with every grappler. Plus, SF is really slow compared to other games. I feel like I’m playing in molasses.
Honestly I thought you didn’t throw a ton except for with the setups. I would do a few more walk up throws. Also while it does work I would see people, including me baiting out some churned throws. Something about sf4 makes people want to churn butter but people will start to want to neutral jump punish it. Also use those T.Hawk jabs a bit more. Those things are like fast boats hitting you
