I got there around 5:45-6 and was inside the building with the first wave, so we weren’t there that long.
I WISH they let us play super though. that’s some shit we gotta deal with.
Did you really expect they’d have consoles loaded with SSFIV and have everyone fighting over playing? Nah, I figured it would be previews, but maybe more in-depth instead of random spurts of gameplay.

Welcome to press events dude. I’ve been to dozens of press-only events and it’s RARELY playable demos. It’s only at large shows like Leipzig and E3 and CES that we get to play things. Consider yourself lucky that it was actually humans playing and not just a video.
Seth was really cool with everything. Explaining it like a true fighting gamer and not just some Capcom rep who was sent to make us drool over a game only to be left wanting more because he didn’t know what he was doing.
That being said, this was an AWESOME event. Granted me and Bisonopolis waited 3 and a half hours outside, but we met a lot of cool people and got together with friends inside. Just got home:
Got an email that it starts at 8pm so I was there at 7:30pm. Didn’t get in until like 11pm. There was no guest list/tickets/guest bag/food/etc for anyone who came in 7:30pm or after me. I only came because I wanted to play Juri, when finally let in, the venue was extremely small, it’s like some kid rented out his first floor and his basement to Capcom. Then in a couple of minutes they held their final SSF4 preview which was just Sanford raping someone who had no idea wtf they were doing with Juri and it made my eyes bleed. The venue was so small, if I wasn’t tall then I wouldn’t even be able to see the screen, which others probably couldn’t.
Anyways, with like the 5 minutes that remained, good shit to whoever I randomed out with Magnus and random AHVBs. No idea wtf I was doing but Magnus is like a random coin, I got lucky.
Henaki was more informative and the conversation was more fun in those 5 minutes than the entire event, and that’s excluding the two and a half hour wait.
Not trying to hate on Capcom, it’s my favorite company, but this event was terrible and I hope Capcom can get its shit together next time and I feel bad for anyone that actually attended out of state.
Also good shit to NYC subway being messed up and the random dude that tried to steal my laptop and was begging sorry after getting knocked down. This shit was a good reminder why I don’t take NYC subway late at night.
