My opinion differs. Perhaps those under 18 will own the game, no question, however that was not my point at all. My point was you don’t listen to them because they should not be your target audience. If they were your target audience, you would obviously not be making a game that they themselves can not purchase. Instead, if you listen to them, you’ll get a lot of childish ideas that can potentially turn away some of your actual target audience. The older MK players that still remember MK2.
I am not going to assume that everyone is of the same opinion as me but once they started implementing a plethora of new stuff, I lost a lot of interest. I don’t need a skimpy dressed woman with mountain boobs. I don’t need a run button and forty-three ninjas.

This is flawed logic for a variety of reasons. In 1992 there was not an internet with which multiple people of all ages could voice their opinion. Also that was before there was an MSRP rating. Times have changed. People grew up and to act like the original MK players aren’t adults now would be silly. Contrary to popular belief (and negative social stigma) not all people that play video games are children. My entire point is that you should listen to the people from your demographic, that is all. Netherrealm Studios should not survey children about Mortal Kombat 9 input. That is my point. I am not trying to be argumentative. This is not even really something to have an alternate opinion on. It’s common sense. I realize that children play games and will play this Mortal Kombat. I realize that sex and violence sell in our society. That doesn’t make it any less counter-intuitive to listen to advice from people out of your demographic. If they wanted to appeal to that demographic, they would not be making a game that is rated M.
Guilty Gear / Blazblue has them and they work great… Also , it’s not that you can cccc - combo breaker anytime you want like in KI , you need 2 ‘ex stocks’ .

Anyways , I’m actually pretty happy with all the news , personally I only liked MK 2 from when I was a kid . Deadly Alliance was a nice try (still pretty broken) , Deception was a dissapointment and I didn’t even consider buying Armageddon…
I hope the game doesn’t have retarded fast unblockables like PS2 Dairou Tombstone Drop . That shit was ridiculous and I liked that they actually tried to fix it in the Gamecube version.

Wasn’t the older Sub Zero like, he was kind of evil while the younger Sub Zero was more of a good guy? It will be interesting to see Sub Zero 1 in a game again, if that’s indeed him.
Older Sub-Zero had his soul tainted with evil, which allowed the events of MKM (him entering Netherealm), as well as him becoming evil spectre Noob Saibot after death

LOL…reporting for duty ,sir. out of the 4 arcades (yeah, i was old enough to stay out late without mommy’s permission) i played at with late hours. every MK1 cab had plenty of over 18 (i even recall a couple of 40 y.o playing it and they were good at FG) adults playing it. in fact, this one MK1 cab at one of the arcades made money for years after MK dropped because it was a rare early version of the game with a lower gravity setting.
