Pi your in for a treat cause’ I upgraded the super turbo machine with the appropriate “world” Control panel overlay and Joystick overlay. So the machine is pretty much fresh from the factory on that level.
Also, In addition to the MK singles tournament were also gonna have a 2v2 team tournament since the game is setup for -cross fever- mode as well.
So, find a partner to team up with.
It’s cool just asking because I’m seeing an old friend of mine.

Why? He’s just an ok character.
Practice johns are nonsense. I could maybe see an argument from Johnny, but then, he’s had an “unfair” opportunity to practice against EVERY character, what with PSN being down. For that matter, I don’t have either console. Can I request a ban of whatever characters I don’t feel like fighting? Or we could just ban everyone. Or we could accept that real practice comes from IRL games, which everybody has an opportunity to play. There will always be characters you are more or less familiar with. If anyone really wants me to, I can provide a breakdown of Kratos and his moves. Then people won’t have shit to be surprised by.
I’m just suggesting that it’s getting close enough to EVO that we should probably start using similar rules to get people ready for playing there. Pretty much every other big (yes, this isn’t a “big” tourney but the rules should still apply) tourney is following the no Kratos rule.
Either way people on both console have the chance to play against every character, except Kratos. I agree that there will always be characters that players aren’t familiar with but Xbox players will always be 0% familiar with Kratos.
I know your friend uses Kratos, but I don’t see a need to make an exception that works in his favor yet against everyone else. Might be time for him to focus on Smoke or any of the other 26 characters that can be played in competition if he wants to play in a competition.
EDIT: I should specify, no offense intended towards you or Davis. You are both cool dudes and good at the games you play. I just think if we’re going to be playing MK here, it’s time to get serious. And this is coming from me, the least serious dude on here. Other than Pat, of course.

I disagree that Xbox players will always be 0% familiar with Kratos. That’s like saying I’ll always be 0% familiar with every character because I don’t have a console. It’s not hard to seek out IRL games with people playing on the PS3, especially in this state.
However, banning him to achieve uniformity with the Evo ruleset is reasoning I respect. It’s just that every opinion about Kratos expressed in this thread so far has been nothing but salt, and I didn’t want THAT to be the thing that decided his legality.
I’m not too salty towards Kratos. Sure he has some dumb stuff, but that can be said about pretty much every fighting game character ever. Hell I support broken shenanigans. That’s like the entirety of Sonya’s moveset.
I’m just saying it from a stance of following EVO’s guidelines. I think with EVO getting closer it may be the best thing start following their rules.
That being said, it’s up to Sean what he wants to do at his tourney.

This Friday I’ll be having two tourneys running. MK and Mahvel.
MK will start at 8:00PM and will be $5 to enter. 2/3 rounds, 2/3 matches, 3/5 finals, no Kratos. PS3 as always.
Mahvel will start after MK, so around 9-9:30. Also $5 to enter, also no Kratos allowed in that.
I’ll have a mix of MK/SF/Mahvel running on the casuals Xbox. Whatever people are into. If anyone wants to bring another casuals setup, that’d be cool too. Casuals will be starting at 7PM like usual and as always extra TVs/consoles/sticks are welcome and encouraged.
