I don’t know exactly who I played from ABQ. After the tourney, I was playing on my friend’s dual-stick setup thing. I played some random people…good fun.
We’ll probably go back in October or whenever for the next tourney, but MVC2 is almost dead down here at the moment. =\
I may go up by myself for Ozzfest, though.

How was the competition at this “Xtopia” tourney?
Today, I basically found out we suck. =(
Our friends went to Anime Expo, and my friend who’s likely the best player out of all of us got beat sorta bad, I guess. =\ That’s only for MVC2, though…he fared really well in everything else. =)
Comp. at the tourney was OK, random MSP and team Scrub bullshit, lol.
Hmmmm, how would next weekend be for people? I mean to go down to cruces? If anyone needs a ride… I can give 3 other people a ride although I do drive a little pickup with a cab that has fold down seats (so whoever sits in the back doesn’t have the most leg room). Anyway, I’m gonna be gone the later part of this month, and I’d really like to go down to Cruces at some point. Next weekend works for me, and since I’ve been delinquent in posting for the next weeks tourney anyway (sorry guys, it’s been a hard week), it might be a good time to go. We could just cancel this next weeks and try and have one the following week (someone will have to run it, cause I’ll be going out of town). If anyway thinks “Yay!” for next week, just post it.
What kind of setup time would you guys need RowJoe?

Alright, so here’s how it is. I haven’t posted for the tourney in Tilt this week, cause there will be no tourney held by me. The posts for the last tourney are not up because SRK doesn’t seem to be posting our arcade, despite multiple requests.
I’m going down to Cruces this weekend. Please post ASAP if you are interested in going. I can seat four other people (three comfortably). The guys down there seem interested, but no solid plans are there. I was gonna go down there Saturday and try to arrive around 2 or 3 o’clock. I’ll go alone if I have to, but it would be a good opportunity to meet some good players, and to get to know our neighbors to the south a little bit better. If we can make a decent showing of going down there now, or in the near future, then each time we go down could be even bigger.
They seem down for any game that we can bring. So that would mean any of the Evo worthy 2d or 3d fighters. I’m going to mirror this post on x-topia so everyone there can see it too.

Cool, There’s actually another guy over on the x-topia forums who is interested in playing some GGXX, so that would make at least two more for GGXX from ABQ. Looks like I really will be the only MvC2 guy there though. Hey, whatever happened to that guy Grimm Demise? He was suppose to be in town last saturday, but he hasn’t posted since he’s been here… wonder if he has internet acces where he’s set up here. If he posts and is down to go to Cruces, that would be two people for MvC2. If anyone knows his info, please share it.

i can do all that but how do you get into it? ive heard you need to use assist to get them in the air but i was watching one of the matches i recorded and saw someone do it without. the only times i can do it is when i switch to iron man, which wont work during a tourney obviously, or when i use my assist but i dont always catch them with my assist. the assist i use for him are psylocke, doom, cyke, sent, and storm
