Does everyone pretty much play on Dreamcast? I also play on PS2, but I’ll take my controller up there for the Dreamcast. I’ll plan on making it up there next weekend and I’ll ask my friend Jason (Southblvd on here) if he wants to go too.
I play on Xbox. Speaking of that, my custom sticks are arriving on Tuesday, so if anyone is up for MvC2 on Xbox, I can bring them and my xbox wherever. I’d invite people over but my place is in a state chaos with all the moving boxes still. I think that club at UNM meets on Saturday and they mentioned having TVs or Space to play? I don’t know. Anyways. If you come up I’ll meet you at tilt/wherever.

For the most part Utsu, we play at the arcade. As for home games, we play on DC for MvC2, and PS2 for CvS2. We can accomidate whatever between all of us.
Well it looks like the arcade it is then. I have the SF2 anniversary controller and it will hook up to the PS2, DC, and X-box, so we’ll probably bring them along. I have a couple custom MvC2 CDs for DC also.
I think our plan (Jason and I) is to leave Friday after I get out of work and get there around 8-9pm. Stay over and probably leave Saturday night or something.

I know sometimes its hard between school and work to make it to a major tourney like EVO, but Texas Showdown draws many high-level players that make for an EVO-ish experience.
We need local-area player support to make Texas Showdown a big success.

Hmmm, well Luis mentioned an EP vs. ABQ tourney as a possibility. Maybe that would convince some of the people from EP and Cruces to come. We could do an EP vs. ABQ vs. LC even… who all would be interested? All in good fun of course. :wgrin: I figure I’d be willing to do whatever games they are interested in. MvC2, CvS2, 3S, T5, SCIII, GG, etc. If I can spark real interest on our side, I’ll post over on their thread (although I’m sure someone will read it before then).
Oh, and can we get some people together for tomorrow night to welcome the guys from Carlsbad? Who all is down for some games tomorrow night. I’m sure they’d be willing to play anything, but I think that they’ll mostly be into MvC2. They also said 3S, which I have on DC or PS2, so I’ll probably bring both over. I’m assuming you’re down Luis, and Pi? Derek? Jonathan? Johnnie? Post up and let me know, otherwise it’s gonna be me playing them alone… all night. Oh and they will be here most of saturday, so I’ll probably take them to Tilt and hang out there… although, I would like to get a lot of home games in (cause they are free). I’ll be at tilt tomorrow. I get off work at 5 so I’ll just head straight over. Earlier Saturday looks better than the evening for me. I’d offer to bring my setup but the sticks I ordered still haven’t arrived. I could bring my Xbox anyways if someone has an adaptor and some sticks? It’s got GGxx#r, MvC2,CvS2, Svc, CFJ and SamShoV on loaded on there. Let me know.

Well…looks like Southblvd (Jason) got a new job and might have to work. So he is questionable on coming. We’ll see though, I wouldn’t imagine he would have to work a full day the very same day he is hired.
I am hoping to leave work by 2:30pm and getting to the mall around 6:30. Also, I have a SF arcade stick that has Xbox adapter (so does Jason), so if he comes, we can bring two sticks. If not, I can only bring mine. Jason’s is modified with Happs parts and mine will have Happs competition buttons. Anyway, looking forward to some competition!
I could be down for all that shit. But I am a bit under the weather today. So I probably won’t make it out tonight. I’ll pm you my number. What part of town are you in? I might be down to host at my house on saturday. I have 2 tv’s all the games and systems we would need. I live just south of downtown. I have one ps2 to xbox adaptor. So unless someone has a xbox stick or an anther adaptor that system is SOL.

Good games to Eric and Jason this weekend. I’m glad they stayed an extra day, cause the first night was a little bit lame (although we did play MvC2 past 3am). Thanks to Garrett and Johnnie showing up and hanging out 'til 4am though. Sorry for anyone who didn’t get a chance to meet/play the guys from Carlsbad.
And this thread is goin’ up, up, up! Now we just need to get more of the guys over on X-topia to post over here as well.
