I played someone at MvC2 this past Sunday at the Coronado mall. Traded wins back and forth, then I had to leave. The person I played used mainly Cable/Sent/Commando and I was using a bunch of different teams, but mostly Spiral/Cable/Sent. kthxbye

Are there any tournaments coming up? Me and my friend (Southblvd on SRK) might head up there one of these days and definitely for a tourney. I need to practice some, there is no one to play down here in Carlsbad.
I think there’s going to be one in a few weeks in March? Middle of the month. There was one the weekend before last. MvC2 doesn’t get a really big turnout but last time it wasn’t bad. I’d like to play you some more, post if you’re going to come up again.

Anyways. There will be a tourney for Marvel2 in May in Alb. And everyone you played from EP (and hopefully Cruses) will show up. So hopefully we’ll see you guys up there!
If I know the dates, I’ll definitely head up there that time (if it’s the weekend). I might try heading up there before then just to get some practice and hang out or whatever.

sorry its been a long time. but if you need to know about tournaments talk to me or pi (ix3.14xi) we throw tournaments at tilt every other month the next one will be april 8. marvel usually runs first since the show out is about 8- 10 people we are trying to get more people so if you know friends thats cool. the march tourney is mostly soul calibur i heard but the one in may is the big x-topia annual and yeah like onslaught said people from colorado, cruces, el paso and other places come down for it. plus other games are thrown at it too.
So the next MvC2 tourney will be April 9th? That is on a Sunday, correct? Does it take place in the morning or evening? Cuz damn, I gotta drive 4-5 hours back to Carlsbad that same day. Or just skip sleep and head straight to work. Do you have any 3S tournaments? I suck at 3S but was great at SF2 and just apply my knowledge and skills to 3S. Or something like that. I know my friend will go to the MvC2 tournament, but I don’t know anyone else who plays competitively.
April 8th…Saturdays. Typically Marvel starts around 12 or 1 but that’s how it’s been the past two times. I moved here three months ago and was told there’s no 3S cabs in town.
Maybe we could plan for you to come up and play some games, just on a weekend or something. I’m sure people here will be willing to house you. BTW, you should also hop over to www.x-topia.com and post over there, if you haven’t already… there are a lot of players over there, mostly 3D stuff, but some 2D. For the most part, they are all very receptive to people coming in from out-of-town. What other games do you play (and they don’t have to be just fighting games)? If we have a weekend where everyone is willing to get together and play all weekend, maybe we can make it worth your while to come up. Think about it.

Hey man, I only talk shit about their hometowns when they come into a thread specifically designed for trash-talking, and all they say is “I read like 4 posts in this thread and then got bored. I can beat everyone in ABQ at CvS2!”. That is straight up :lame: . So I gave him what he asked for. 
And the last person I saw come up from the El Paso/Las Cruces SRK thread, when they were invited was… oh yeah, NEVER! I drove down to Cruces to see what was up, and they couldn’t even get 3 people together to welcome me. Lemme just say, that the next time someone from either of those places comes up to play some games, I can garuntee that our scruby ABQ asses can muster up more than 3 goddamn people. Not that they would accept. I guess they’re all too good for us. Hell they couldn’t even muster up that many people for our big tourney (although I’m really happy that the people who came, came… YAY for those people). I’m just not happy with the rest of the lamers from EP and Cruces.
On a more somber note:
Man, I get almost no chance to play fighting games anymore. I wouldn’t mind practicing up for TS and X-topia. We’re gonna get our asses handed to us at TS. I hope you practice up a lot for CvS2 Johnny, cause you need to represent us in that game. I should probably practive heavily for MvC2… I’m super rusty. What games is everyone gonna enter? Do we want to enter any team games? Oh and has everyone registered at the TS sight? And who all is going still… Jonathan?Or anyone from Cock’Fo (sp?)? All going to TS say “I.”
I think I can swing a trip one of these weekends. Maybe even next weekend? I always have weekends off and I have no plans as of yet.
Other games I play: 3S (whenever no one is playing MvC2), SF2 (all of them up to ST), Final Fantasy games, Vagrant Story, and just whatever else. Goldeneye 007 and other multi player games too.
oh shit we got another goldeneye player up here. i hope you talkin about the n64 version cuz thats the only one worth playing. anyways as far as showdown we aint goin. shit happens so you wipe your ass of it and flush it down the toilet so you dont become constipated. i get a free weekend off though :wgrin:
That was a little more information than I needed Jon. If you could come next weekend, that’d be awesome. I’m sure Luis and Derek would be up for some MvC2. I could probably get Jon here to come (right?), and maybe Pi. For the most part, it’d probably be you, me, Luis, and Derek though. Those are the fairly consistant players of Marvel here. If that would be worth your while, then you should come up. I’d like to meet you anyway. You could crash at my place if you want. No guest room or anything, you’d be sleeping on the couch. Well, think about it.
