I thought the TNF vs. NMism idea was a state rivalry thing, barring the one or two members from EP. I have no problems with it, but I must say a 5v5v5 sounds kinda silly. How would it work anyhow? Round robin?

It still is a state rivalry event, this was before Colorado said anything about coming down here. Now it looks they’ll be bringing more than just 5 players to the tournament. I was thinking maybe give them a bye. And the winner of TNF VS NMism gets to play against EFL?

Or how would the round robin work with a 5v5v5?

Also anyone bringing setups or help setting up. I’m gonna get to the venue bye 1030.

I’ll do a equipment check tomorrow of who’s bringing what.

I don’t think a round robin is a very elegant solution but simply advancing them to the final round like that may simply inflate their egos and alienate people from other regions. Don’t get me wrong, we know they’re good, but why should we just hand them the seat like that? The best solution to me would be to do a wild card team of people from all the regions that didn’t make it onto their respective teams. That way you could do a team tournament like at EVO '09. Just an idea.

Also, I can bring my monitor. And I’ll once again be bringing my camera to capture the hype that will inevitably ensue.

Edit: Nick has a point, with so many other tournaments happening it may be a little excessive. But those team tournaments, by virtue of being single elim, do go a bit quicker and they also tend to be extremely exciting.
