So, what new kind of mechanics do you think fighting games haven’t tried their hand at yet? What new ideas do you have in mind that you’d particularly would like to see? Any mechanics that could be better?
I feel like the best ideas have been around already and are underrepresented because developers have terrible ideas when they think about getting “new” and “young” players in the game.
definetely a mechanic that could be better, tac counters in umvc3. i would have liked it if i can combo the opponent, in the air, instead of simply blowing them back and doing very minimal damage. i can´t think of any others at the moment, just wanted to complain. oh yeah, in sfxt, i was hoping for the “bound” combos to be more similar to how they are in tekken. this coming from a guy that doesn´t play tekken at all. stay hungry everyone.
