New MBAA PS2 Thread! Final Round 14 Around the Corner! FREE MBAACC Update This Spring

Sure, why not? (Shrugs)
Alright, from the video that I think everyone watched, S.Akiha’s loop (the first one in the corner) started with a 236C. The CPU blocked it while S.Akiha did a 2C (charge all the way; you do NOT have to do the 236C set-up. Be creative, do something else). The CPU flies in the air slightly, and that is when you do this:
As soon as you hit they enemy with 2C (charge all the way)->instant 22A (it may look like it whiffs, but it doesn’t)->VERY slight delay 2A->2C->22A x5 (just input them in, not too fast, but fast)->22C/623C/421C->jumping (very strict timing for me) j.AC (B may NOT hit/catch them)->dj.BC->air throw. Also, a nice trick is to jump back the second time and throw an air 236C to either catch them off guard or make them air block (I know they can air dodge this, but it’s still something that they have to do…and it adds confusion ^_^"). This gives you the ability to redo the loop over again. Also, I noticed that her launcher (3C) in the corner, as an anti-air, and mid-screen are also starters for the loop.
Example:
3C->wait while they recover (or if they fail to recover)->22B (yes, I know, it delays, but since it’s mid-screen, you have to reach them somehow, right?)->VERY slight delay 2A->2C->22A->quick dash and cancel it VERY fast into 2A->2C->22A (Note: You MIGHT get another set of 2A->2C->22A (making it three reps), but if you want consistency, stick with what I typed)->22C/623C/421C->jumping (very strict timing for me–someone let me know about this please) j.AC (B may NOT hit/catch them)->dj.BC->air throw.
Another mid-screen example (from the video that is very easy once you get the timing down):
2A(or add 5 more 2A’s)5B(or 2B)5C->421C->(you do NOT have to be on the other side of the enemy for this to work; this can be done in the corner)->very late 5A (I mean, where it looks like the enemy is ALMOST going to hit the ground; frame looks odd, but it will hit for some reason…) or 2A (if you use 2A, it’s the same old timing)->2C->22A->2A->2C->22A->2A->2C->22A (Note: the fourth potential rep would be 2AA (fast)->2C->22A…but it’s pretty strict)->412C or 22C->5A ~1 to 2 times into air combo ending in a throw (this might be hard, so instead, go into her 236A/B loops…she reminds me of Jedah a little bit).

Basically, as long as her enemy is slightly above her head, you can do the loop. It’s just the very beginning that is the hardest to hit. Otherwise, once you get the first set down, it’s great damage, and it’s easy from there. Don’t forget everyone, this is Full Moon Style-S. Akiha. If you would like me to make a video on some of these combos, I can do that soon. Hope this helps!

Names of songs in those vids plz?

just received the game 2 days ago, i’m playing Akiha, nice one.

Song in Seifuku Akiha is “Raison d’etre” by Denkare (short for Denkishiki Karen Ungaku Shinyuudan).

If you like the vocals, check her out in Yousei Teikoku also.
She is Yousei Yui in Yousei Teikoku, and Karen in Denkare.

Actually I liked the music itself

Those look really juicy! Somehow I had a feeling someone was going to incorporate 63214C into her regular combos, and the results look pretty fantastic :smokin:

Now it’s a race between C and H cry F Ryougi is too hard to combo with compared to those two…

Tataki that song from the H Ryougi combo video is from Kara no Kyoukai, volume 5 I believe (although that particular theme runs through the entire series IIRC).

does ryougi have anything else really good other than combo damage? what are her best moves?

I belive that one of the Ryogi styles has a lot of unblockable moves.

Mech Hisui is ridiculously fun, although I don’t really like C-Mech as much as the other two. I should probably learn it anyway though since she’s so good with it.

I haven’t had this much trouble picking a main since Guilty Gear, there are so many characters that are fun to play.

I’m having trouble doing C-Sion air combo ender. Of course, this is my very first time even touching the character  I’m trying to learn her so I can teach someone else how to play her. I do, just to start off with basics:

2A 5B 2B 5C (2 hit) > 214C > 5B 2B 5C (2 hits) 3C > j.B j.C > air dash > j.C dj.C > air throw

I have trouble adjusting the height sometimes. Is there a more consistent ender than anyone else uses, in terms of getting the height correct?

u should try doing the last dj in the air as a super jump (you can super dj in this game)

super jump isn’t necesary in that particular combo

also if u can also try doing a jump straight up after 3C since you will get a super jump

if you feel you are not high enough smoke some more weed and then do 623 B in the air

or try some other combos from the video i posted

edit u can hit this combo without a super jump at all, oh and don’t forget about the boring j.B, j.C, dj j.B, j.C throw

You mean delaying it off of the air dash j.C jump cancel? If so, that’s what I just did and it worked out just fine
