Not a stupid reason…on the stream chat a dude who doesn’t really know the game said he’s interested in the game now, in part because he sees a wide variety of characters being picked.

I hate you guys because I have offline competition in everything but this game which means only one thing- You are not promoting this game hard enough on the internetz and not sharing enough of your great knowledge.
I’m a noob in MB so I can’t do much to help but I can tell you what I’d like to see as a noob wanting to learn the game:

Wiki being so inconsistent. Some characters have it just great but others get no love at all. (The introductions are top tier though…)
Also I remember reading somewhere that there’s a character who has invincibility frames when landing from a superjump or something… Those things are so secretive and you should write them all down.

Good shit to everybody who participated and made the event sheer quality. I got extra motivation to get on my grind and eventually pick a char (I currently dabble in like 8 chars in 2 or so moons apiece, haha).

I must say I’ve been disturbed with the western development of metly bood scene.
Iunderstand will have many different characteristic but the open provocative and vulgar language proves to be unsettle for me.
Maybe I’m perceiving this poorly. Any suggest how to cope with this? Also how many people think its appropriate to act this way? since the scene desire to grow and developed to something legit. I fear with the current devolopemt that we still ahve ways to go.

I’ll consider that but you have any other suggestion, I fear that alone wont satisfy this stigma. Though I can only wonder why hugging a tree would work unless theirs hidden motive behind those words but I dare not try judge.

Well, I think that language you’re referring to depends on who is on the mic. To some person who grew up around it’s normal. So, I can see how it’s quite unusual to you. As you can tell the same thing happens on the Street Fighter commentators it really depends on the person. It’s just not committed to one scene. But, if it’s truly a problem and a lot of people have a problem with it. I assume the community would know how to handle themselves accordingly. But, I believe in all honesty they are mostly joking around. Even though I know the effects of their words can be harsh.
But, it’s something you wish to speak out against go ahead. But, what in particular did bother you?

Sadly to say the scene in Florida is small to none existence. I’m mentally prepare to start a scene anew for Florida if I deem it necessary.
Truthfully I can handle potty mouths but I’m concern of how unprofessional it is to be that way and the impression that given off.
Of course that’s subjective matter in it self but I cant help but feel a since of strong general ego being presented in such a scene.
By ego it sound very arrogant, abrasive and course vulgar. When are such characteristic are ever acceptable in professional competition activity. For that matter when are they every acceptable in open social activity?
Admittedly Mellty blood scene are not professional but do they not aim to be so?
If this is the case i feel the scene is handling them self inappropriately.
