I doubt it, if ryo still played as much as he did before he moved here fng wouldnt touch him.
Fng has comp in all the games, but its never consistent, it all depends on when you go. marvel best day id say friday night after 8. cvs2 it depends, sometimes theres a bunch of guys that go who are nasty but they never come consistently, hopefully after they switch the damn cabinet people come more.

heh, i wouldn t say that. since we re going back in time, i vaguely remember him here and there since they had 2 cabinets, but back then, only the one chinese guy wei was UNtouchable before he quit, not ryo. thats just my opinion though.
its not consistent cause people are always busy. its also crowded with underaged chicks, thats either too tempting or pitiful to be around.

Since we’re deciding to go back in time here. I vaguely remember Wei being untouchable at 3s. No offence. He was good, but far from untouchable. I liked the comp back then but the game eventually got boring and tournies were dying out for 3s. I used to be the only one who would go to the Break tournies from FnG. At that time I still remember Wei’s lil 3s group still complaining about throws while I was already competing. MvC2 came and well that’s history. I never, ever played a VS game in the arcade until that game. But it was the newest thing out and tournies were pretty big for it. Game was also fast. I’m an old man but shit… I love fast games. ST, A2 on Turbo 2, MvC1 at Turbo 2, and MvC2. I’m rusty as hell in 3s but I’m far from being terrible at the game.
And as for Ryo, I’m not going to speak for him. But honestly, he sucks at 3s. lol

I am like given up on the game already. Since I can’t put in as much time to practice now, and the fact that I am all discuraged since I can’t beat Jwong.
Even so, KOFiend, I don’t recall anyone from FnG beating me in a tournament. Prop for Mr. Quote coming very very close tho.

wei went thru many “phases” playing 3rd strike(“throwing = cheap” being 1 of them), but in the end, i can t think of anyone else from FnG that consistently won as much as he did.
wei would get 40+ winstreaks at CTF, FnG, back then pretty often. he was my sis’s best friend’s bf, so i use to go around with him everywhere.
also got to remember, wei never broke himself free and started thinking “ANYWAY POSSIBLE to WIN” like people who enter tournies play, he always had a mental block and its unfortunate i or anyone didn t get to see how vicious he would be before he quit.
i don t know how that ll sound to you but i don t think a player really wakes up and uses full potential(to improve) until they stop thinking about rules and boundaries.
the point that other dude made was ryo is alone at the break, but noone at the time he moved was better than him from FnG, and i spoke what i believe, wei. name someone/describe someone else, i ll remember them and back off.
