Uh…I think this one guy plays K-Groove sometimes. Switches with N, though, so I don’t think he’s all that great with K. About 98% of the people at FnG play C-Groove without doing a single damn lvl 2 cancel. Oh, and Terry and Ken are all over the place. :rolleyes:
It’s all about playing A-Groove and messing up EVERY CC BECAUSE THE MACHINE’S SPEED IS TOO SLOW WTF SET IT TO DEFAULT ALREADY WHAT THE HELL
I’ll try and come this Sunday, but only if you fng regulars will be there. I honestly think the MvC2 scene there is a joke, but I obviously don’t go to fng often so what do I know. So it’s all CvS2 then.

for marvel the “best” comp is friday and saturday, if you want to call it that. all the best players there stopped a long long time ago, maybe a year i’d say. i dunno how sundays go i dont really go on sundays
How’s the level of comp at FNG’s and whats the best night for CVS2 Friday or Saturday last time i was there no one was playing and the machine was as slow as an old CVS1 machine
I suck at CvS2 but I’m improving more and more every day.
Yeah, MvC2 comp looks decent at FnG. Last time I was there, there was a lot of people playing it, and they at least knew what they were doing (I don’t know Marvel that well myself, so I can’t judge beyond that).
Didn’t see any real CvS2 comp. Plus the controls were a bit glitchy, and that lowered speed was killing me. Why would you make CvS2 slower, lol.
I saw some guy raping with Chun-Li in 3S. Threw everything–3S at it’s finest, hah. Nah, I don’t think anybody else knew what they were doing.
Oh, and earlier in my trip I saw a group playing SvC that looked decent, but the machine was pretty quiet later on.
So FnG and 8otB are the basically the only arcades in North NJ worth checking out, right?

me and my friend were there today… and a bunch of spectators that try to play in vain… its funny my friend gets 11 game win streak they play over and over again… i get in win like 2 or 3 i hear them talkin behind me complaining about me being cheap and then all leaving…
The guy on 3S was white actually. Had the skateboarder look; was wearing a beanie hat and those Vans/Airwalk shoes. Looked like he knew what he was doing because he parried and threw a lot (not scrub-like), and he did Fierce into Lightning Legs super a couple of times with the superjump cancel and juggle at the end. Haha, yeah, my expectations are kind of low. He might’ve been pretty good though, just that I couldn’t really tell because everyone else was losing.
anybody close to clifton, jersey city, Paterson up for some MVC2, 3rd strike, CVS2, ST and even Tekkentag practice? or what is the closest arcade with good competition? i’ll be at NJ 18 to 23.

If you can go to 8otB or fng, go to 8otb. The comp is much higher there, but during the week it’s just as barren as fng. Fng tends to have more folks, but lesser quality comp. And the cabinets at fng are just gay. All of them.
