It was pretty clearly trolling. As you might be able to tell, I keep up with this game somewhat. I’ve also never heard anyone talk about it in months. Now suddenly NO ONE can shut up about one of the characters’ tits even though by anime standards they’re not even big? Ridiculous. He also said every anime game is trying to be Guilty Gear with “gatling-to-air combo” when that’s not even really how Guilty Gear plays and basically none of the games he lists play like Guilty Gear. Then a bunch of anecdotal nonsense about poverty players that has nothing to do with the game.
Oh, I never denied what he said was not flat out wrong; I just don’t think it was deserving of a flag is all. But hey, I don’t go back that far on here, so he might have a history of doing this, who knows.
Being here for a long time and seeing his posts, you kinda get numb to the same dribble he spews after a while. I admit, there are some occasions where he surprises even me and say something that is true for once but in this case, no…especially when he added Aquapazza, Arcana Heart, & Vanguard Princess to that list.
At any rate, I’ve noticed this game is using a lot of anime OP theme songs like “Reckless Fire” from S-Cry-Ed (first video) & “Mind is Judgement” from Canaan (Cowgirl’s theme), “Sirius” from Kill la Kill, and a couple of others I don’t know.
I never saw the others but man I can’t believe I didn’t catch S-Cry-Ed. It’s been fucking years since I watched it but still. It does explain why the music is so good.
My best guess for the kanji part of 稲歩町ダイナマイトボム is that it either uses a reading combination known only to the person who first came up with the title, or uses Ateji to either give it a totally unique meaning, or make it read with a non-Japanese word, e.g. 頭文字D(Initial D) My research is suggesting it’s read as Ineayumi-machi, as in Ineayumi Town
Also, it seems there’s alreadyfan art for the game
The mechanics have changed quite a bit since the first demo. It’s also noticeably faster and much smoother, chaining doesn’t feel half as awkward as it used to. Seems like a heter heavy game though, guess we’ll see how it turns out.
Well it’s turning out about as meter heavy as I thought it was going to as the only major way to extent combos is to spend meter. Still pretty fun though, although just from messing around with Tiger in arcade mode and training mode you can see some questionable balance decisions.
Depends on how much you like poverty really. If you’re not big on having no scene and quirky things that should work better or differently but don’t because it’s by someone who just started making fighting games and is figuring shit out, I wouldn’t recommend it no. If you’re okay with all of that and enjoy training mode a great deal and like interesting mechanics and character designs then sure, I’d gladly pay that much for it, and in fact I did twice.
