a few of us over on #srktt were brainstorming up a few ideas for leds in the bubble top/drilled shaft jlf… and here’s what we were thinking.
- have a board that essentially controls the power to an led based on how long a direction is held… i.e. if you hold back… the led starts up real low… and the longer you hold it, the brighter it gets… maybe maxing out at a few seconds… and from there it could either PULSE… or just stay at max brightness… (would be variable for various games… of course)
the idea seems as if it would require a pic chip programmed with the concept of delays and activations… and possibly a potentiometer… pic chips could be programmed specifically for the game in play, requiring different pic chips for each game you play,… etc…
Any feedback? suggestions? help? I don’t know anyone who programs pic chips that was willing to lend an ear to this job… but if anyone is interested, I think this would be a great addition to the vanity aspect of a stick. Sure, we don’t look at the sticks while we’re playing, but others will. (no homo)
