NEW Hori Fighting Stick VX (360) & V3 (PS3) Thread

I have just gotten one such joystick and is modding it myself with a sanwa stick exactly just as this person has …

My problem is that I cannot find a screw long enough to screw the joystick down just like in the above picture …

The length of screw I am looking for is 3.2 cm and the thickness is about 3mm

I basically need the same exact screw that this person has used …

Anyone wana help out ???

I live in Singapore …

I need 10 such screws …

Thank you very much

I can paypal you the cost of the screws + the shipment charges …

I bought a VX-SA today gutted it for parts might get rid of the case pretty fast way to get sanwa parts.

I bought a new Hori Real Arcade Pro VX SA for the Xbox360 last week. Today, a stick sometimes get stuck. For example : when I push a stick to the right and release, it doesnt go back to the center and the character go to the right automaticlly .

I had a madcatz TE , it had a same problem and 2 weeks later a stick dont work, (buttons are ok).

I dont know why this happened and how to fix it ? I cannot return it to the shop because now I am in VN and I bought a stick from US (amazon).

@ Rogue Tardis: I used the original screws. Had to modify the restrictor a bit though.

Has anyone tried to swap out the pcb on the v3 for an axis adapter and the six axis pcb?

If so, could you please post a link for a tutorial.

I,d rather butcher 2 V3’s and leave my 2 VSHG’s intact…

It’s available for preorder on DASCHEAP for $54. I used the coupon code DASISGOOD1 for an extra $10 off. I think that coupon code only works for preorder so you better pounce if you want one. One thing I noticed is that the store’s product description is as follows:
[]1 Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT-SK arcade stick
[
]6 Sanwa OBSF-30 buttons

1 Sanwa OBSF-24 buttons (Start)
Does this mean that this new release of the V3 has Sanwa parts? Or is the store’s description wrong? Anyway, here’s the store link:

And here’s a video unboxing of the stick by dasreviews: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=AF4HFxupws4

Wrong.

HAHAHAHAHA

ok, that’s what i thought.

Does anyone know if these will be available in the UK soon? I would hope that Amazon UK started to stock these, although the VX SA’s seem to be declining in popularity as Amazon is steadily knocking more an more off their price, so I would doubt that they would stock these if it were the case that the VX SA’s were flopping here.

Looks like a nice base for my next modding project, looks far easier to mod than the Datel I did for my son a while back.

Ok, I posted a comment on the DASISCHEAP youtube review video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8E1pf-3qfnE&feature=player_embedded

I asked if the product description on their site which shows all Sanwa parts was accurate or not, and this was their response: “The Description from the site is EXACTLY what is on the actual printed box that the stick is coming from.”

I also emailed them and they told me that it says Sanwa on the box.

So what’s going on here?

I asked this question over at neoempire and I got a response from a lad saying that he eyeballed a few in hmv and game, in london. I asked him maybe he saw the hori fs3, but he was adamant it was the v3.

I dont know what to make of it, and I aint got time to go down town and have a butchers…

I got my vx-sa for £20 on amazon due to a pricing error. they honored the sale too.

It sure isn’t the v3 or the vx… The vid he is showing is the actual product but what you are saying as far as description is not correct…

How easy is it to mod an xbox360 version to the vlx kitty?

Yeah I dunno. I also called them and they told me it says Sanwa on the box so we will see when it ships I guess.

It is a V3, but the HORI Fighting Stick, not HORI Real Arcade Pro.
We all know the Fighting Stick line will NEVER come with Sanwa parts.

We also know the bad reputation with VideoGameCentral/Das Cheap.

Anyone know how long the stick is? Can’t seem to find dimensions anywhere. Looks a bit longer than the TE which is 16 I believe. 17 inches?

Nope, smaller than a TE. Eyeballing my VX, it looks to be around 9 x 13.

Is the JLF stick solid even when you mount it without the metal bracket? If you don’t use the metal bracket do you have to be a bit gentler when handling the joystick?
