New Hampshire: The Sessions...Return of Salt Mines Starts 1/15/13

I’ve had the pizza it tastes like a better slips frozen pizza

just throwing this out here. heard it when I was at Pax East. Suburban Champion | Death*Star

also, tim, the hell does “better slips frozen pizza” taste like?

im down for tomorrow

im also down for whatever better slips frozen pizza tastes like

Suppas pizza is legendary, boys. They’re pretty popular in Lowell and we were happy to see they opened up right next to PWA

Have fun!

Oh and I don’t know what better slips frozen pizza is either, but now I am curious

it was supposed to be elios pizza but my fucking iphone and it’s auto correct changed it and i didn’t feel like editing the post

wtf elios to slips?

get a new phone asshole

someone come up with what to write on the pwa flyer so it doesnt sound corny when you read it.

Who Genmuc ?!

flyers always sound corny, that’s just how it works. text should actually be quite sparse outside of the details as we’ll want the text size to be gigantic and too much text on anything turns off the mind of the person seeing/reading it. there are a couple of ways to approach it and laurence said he was gonna start it, but i’ll toss some words on here without really thinking about them cause more hands involved in issues like this actually can help.

[header]Danger Room Tuesdays at Pinball Wizard Arcade [or whatever we are calling it]

[hook]Attention Gamers [larger in size than the first line]

[body]If you play [list some games] or are interested in others… bla bla bla join a community, level up your game, bla bla:
[bolded text] Date/Time Range/Address

[tag line at the end?]

so yeah, potential keywords/phrases would be something like: community, fun, make friends [studies show people do actually respond to these terms]. it being bi-weekly should probably go on there too, but we’ll want to replace the first flyer with a second flyer with the next date on it after the first event. but yeah, this would be a better discussion to have off of here, especially if we are gonna start trying to direct people to this place.

I cant wait till game night is legit 2 minutes from my house…GOOOOOOOD SHIIIIIIT !

i hope you are telling everybody you know about it and talking it up to. with the space we have for this and how supportive pwa has been we could really make this work.

Like the format Kraig, we can work with that. Gonna post on Zaibatsu, homingcancel, 8wayrun and meltybread tonight. We’ll toss around some flyer wording on here and let people chime in on the result. I’ll add a couple words to what you have instead of the blah blah’s later=P

In the meantime we need a name since salt mines is being retired ideas so far include:

-PWA Fight Night
-Danger Room Tuesdays
-Level Up Tuesday

Any others?

pwa fight night is fine

CAPCOM VS SNK 2 is in full operation out on the floor. Come on down for a few rounds…

PWAFighter

I’m not sure if I have a vote, but I’d vote PWA Fight Nights.

I’m pretty literal and boring. Hence, asiantom

Why were you up at 428 am ?!?!?!

can’t use level up as that is taken and potentially copyrighted/registered. and yes, tom, i’d say you get a vote.

the other option for the flyer is the simple question words method, eye catching, simple to read, informative, easy to design around as well cause you have text straight down the page:

PWA Fight Night [large text]
[bold the question words]What: A night of mvc3, ssf4, bbcs, brawl, tekken, cvs2, hnk, gg, etc.
Who: Anybody who plays fighting games, is willing to learn, and wants to get better
Why: something about being a community
Where: Pinball Wizard
When: Biweekly starting April 19th [gigantic text]

Your best idea yet:tup: That’s definitely the best way to approach it for the initial flyer anyway. In regards to the name, trying to be too creative can backfire most of the time so it’s confirmed as PWA Fight Night. So with that and following Kraig’s format:

PWA Fight Night Tuesdays

What: MvC3, Arcana 3, Super Street Fighter 4, BlazBlue CS, Tekken 6, Brawl and various other fighters new and old.
Who: You and anyone who has ever thrown a fireball, seeks competition, is willing to learn and wants to get better!
Why: Because competing online or vs the computer is not a substitute for making friends and being part of a growing fighting game community.
Where: Pinball Wizard Arcade
When: Bi-Weekly Starting April 19th

Add, remove as much or as little as you would like. We need to get this to Adam by tomorrow.

Of course you get a vote Tom, this place is for everyone!

i have the logos now. i’m going to get started on this. i will have it done by tonight.
