As previously mentioned about the talks with PWA a deal has been struck and it will be the new home for “Salt Mines” (sorry about using it again Monkey King=p). We will have full access with no venue fee to their Party Room. Tables and chairs will be provided for our setups and they also have a projector that we can make use of should we not have enough TV’s. Adam also has a couple of Sony Tv’s that we can make use of as well (non HD flat screens).
We will be holding to Tuesdays, but bi-weekly to start. The reason being we will need numbers in order to bring it up to weekly status and I will continue to host during the off weeks so there are no lulls. If we get big enough PWA is also willing to chip on prizes and run arcade/console tournaments to make sure we stay big.
Any equipment brought can be stored by PWA I was told so no need to lug everything back and forth if you choose. Along with increased numbers comes a potential deal with the next door pizza shop for special rates on food during fight nights, but again contingent on numbers and not gauranteed.
We are shooting for a launch of Tuesday April 19th in time for the Mortal Kombat 9 release and I believe Adam has something cool in store for that, so it should be great! I’ll meeting for a face to face this friday night at PWA if anyone has anything else they want addressed. Hope you guys are excited, it’s a great opportunity.
As for tonight I have a date with my favorite hack n’ slash fuedal china series so the xbox setup WILL be occupied lol. I’ll hook up my PS3 to my other tv so we should still have another two setups like normal. Anyway stay cool gents see ya later.
