So, after watching Kraig just destory peeps at PAX, I’ve decided to pick up BBCS again. When/Where’s the next SaltMines going down?
@Willy: Been good going through some changes round these parts i.e getting more focused on competing it seems.
Loooooooong time G-man, glad to hear Kraig was an inspiration for you to get back into competing. Hopefully it’s a long term decision.:rock: I going back to hosting full time, unless someone wants to host a particular week, to bring back some form of stability to our small scene. As mentioned before we have to decide what we want the “Mines” to be going forward so if anyone would like to chime in prior to its return this Tuesday please do so.
PWA I believe is going to be central to any potential growth we will see given how it attracts players from everywhere and I am sure amongst them are local people that don’t know SRK exists or that there is some semblance of gathering happening in local NH. When PWA completes that function hall/console area I want to be the first to make a pitch for a Ranbat/Tournament night. But we have to do some significant growing first to at least 20 solid I would say. Just some stuff I have been pondering while we are on this break.

im going to the arcade tonight after work if anyone wants to join me
i’m there for tuesday. i should have a good amount of time to play this weekend and monday as well so i’ll be digging into some new characters in bb and experimenting with shuma, making this new sjc grapple C thing work with spencer, and maybe getting comfortable with modok.
if we really want to help each other we’ll all need to talk a lot more during and post matches. and this will be especially true if new people show up. i feel that we’ve always placed the onus on ourselves to realize what the hell we each need to do individually but we really need to share the responsibility amongst all of us to be like “AA that with ____”, “that right there was a frame trap”, or whatever happened. i don’t care if you already know what i’m going to say to you and i don’t care if i knew what you said to me, if i got hit by it, then i don’t know it well enough–just don’t be a dick about it–be supportive. the more we hear the things we need to hear and the more it annoys the hell out of us that we know them but aren’t doing them, then we’ll have all the more reason to do it correctly. anybody share the sentiment?

anyway, my cabinet is all paid for. it should arrive sometime in april, may at the latest. but when it’s all put together, painted and wired up, i’ll be extending invitations for people to come over and break her in.
Hey Tim, could I commission you to fix one of my sticks?
It’s a HORI HRAP2: The wire has been ripped from the base of the stick and I want to replace the stick / buttons with sanwa parts/buttons.
I don’t know if you could fix the wire issue or if you even take requests! But you just seem to be one of the only guys in the area who overtly shows they know a thing or two about arcade parts and maintenance. If you can help me out, thanks! If not, that’s cool too :x
yeah i can try, i like tinkering with that stuff. i’m not overly knowledgeable with the stuff, but i can fix simple things.

I haven’t gotten shit yet. I took the Arcana Heart 3 one though under the assumption that it would actually be a voucher for a free download of the game. Obviously, I have no idea what it will actually be but i’ll update when I actually get the email from Xie. My guess is that we really won’t know about either until mid April. I gave the Double Dragon coupon to Tim cause I don’t have an iPhone.
we need to gather all the bb players of the area and start playing together so we can all get better and make that shit hype. what gatherings do/can you make it to–game underground, souper bowl, salt mines? anybody else playing in the area?
Gents, made a facebook page for us in an effort to gain a bit more exposure for new players. My phone is ass so I can’t exactly set up a twitter account yet. So spread the word about the stuff we play and let’s get some more peeps added to our core. It’s New Hampshire Salt Mines and you will know by the profile pic that you reached the right spot. Going to think up of some flyer info to give to PWA to refer people to the page that are regulars to their “fighter’s row.”

Definitely planning on playing BBCS indefinitely for now. Looking forward to getting some games in!
