Finals start today but some mass players have made a pretty good showing; Craig Stevens T.Hawk nice! Cyberbots looks killer. It’s like armored core meets gundam (man I wish there was a good gundam game) except everybody is Sentinel. I think I have JoJo’s bizarre Adventure–not sure if it works 100% but i know I tested it and I could play as some crazy ass bird thing. when I finally get my ass in gear and set everything up i can certainly make this stuff happen. I even have a sweet frontend (arcade maximus). Otherwise, if you guys have these things (they can be quite hard to find) hold onto that crap and I’ll share all my stuff with you too once it’s all set. Looks like craig stevens (gridman), merkilo, and paul wall all came in 33 out of like 340 peeps or something. badass.
I shall be at the SaltMines this tuesday.

And Last Blade 2 was a sick game. I actually used to play it on GGPO a fair bit.
I’ll be showing up to the salt mines on Tuesday too, but I’m gonna have to leave early thanks to giving my sister a ride from the bus station yet again.
Need to know how many BB players are coming because it’s normally a SSF4 focused gathering. If there at least two people from the BB crowd I can make space for another setup since I have an extra tv (feel free to bring your own lag proof monitor if you have one). Regardless another setup will be needed if we are to have BB and SSF4 going simultaneously so bring an extra console/sticks at the very least. Post up with any other questions if you have em.
East Coast Throwdown was ridiculous for those of you who checked it out, Finals was especially fucking crazy with non-other than one of the best (if not THE best) fei-long I have ever seen…and he’s on pad. Look up Inthul on youtube (frame advantage.com)and I am sure you will agree once you see this guy. Defintely nice to see a lesser played character kick out a top player like Sanford Kelly and shake up the scene a bit. If anything it’s a statement that if you know the ins and outs of your character of choice, matchups don’t mean too much all the time. Congrats to the Mass players who represented, would be nice to see some NH cats head out once we are appropriately leveled up…
So Salt Mines tomorrow! I believe we have 5 so far. Noob bring your boys and an xbox setup if you can to reduce the wait time in between your grudge matches lol! yeah, being at work at 9 is the best… lol. I don’t feel i played particularly well last evening (especially in BB with you Tim and you certainly deserve better than a flailing tager to face) and since everybody and their mom is gonna be away somewhere this weekend it looks like I’ll have lots of time to hit up the training room. I gotta expand my mixup game with hawk, work on spacing properly, and get my other normals (like cr.mk) into those rounds. I realized that I’m actually keeping hawk too far back during most matches and trying to react too much and I’m giving up momentum by being outside the range of my pokes–so I want to work on staying at an optimum distance to stuff whatever they do and push peeps back to the corner. I’m also gonna pop in that BB and see if I can’t bring my game back up. ggs.

Good shit last night fellas, I continue to enjoy the fact that we are actually learning (except when it comes to fuckin T.Hawk). Tim my apologies for not being able to provide some decent BB comp for you last night, we normally have a few more players who come; But thank you for throwing yourself in the SF fray even though it’s not your main game! Rich like your ideas for growing the scene and definitely down for the Melty train whenever you guys are. GG to all I played; dropped tooooooo many Sak links that I am use to hitting, but dems da breaks…More training mode to beat it into my fingers. Kraig I am officially in it to win it with GUY for better or for worse we are bonded. Anyway I am ready to break him in on some endless match PSN style so hit me up if someone wants to get a shit ton of vs Guy…His matchups seem pretty horrible in this game (just a guess). Throw out ideas for next weeks SaltMine (bonus game:cyberbots?) event and remember we have Dragons happening next week so let’s expect to have another crazy turnout like last week…clear your schedules!!! i’m hosting a game night at my place tomorrow, i know it’s last minute but if anyone is interested in coming just let me know. i also live in the middle of fucking nowhere epping so it might be a pretty far drive for some of you.
SaltMines Tuesday is almost upon us, so like every week need to know how many people are making it for Tuesday. On a side note I realize that the issue of lag came up during the last session and I would like everyone to have the optimum fighting experience so if you have TV of your own please bring it!!! I have a setup for PS3 and one for xbox so like last time I need someone to bring a tv and XBox version (SSF4) and sticks for xbox if we are going to have a couple of setups like last time.
