Yes I am done with SF4, SaltMines will still be taking place like normal so no worries. How else am I going to see you guys somewhat regularly=p.
“MVC3 Crack Session” will be happening Feb 18-20. That means peeps will have 3 days to hit the lab and then come for 48 hours straight of Marvel heaven. I am in talks for pricing regarding either a suite or two rooms side by side. Since the rooms are all separated by a door we can open that and have essentially one big ass room. I’ll have more info as it comes regarding the space.
Since people will be traveling far to get here all NH players can certainly stay over with out having to drive all the way back. Food and drink will be worked out as we near the date, but I hope many of you can make it so this is worthwhile.
With that said looking for maybe 15- 20 players max, 10 per room seems to balance out well even for a suite and about 5 setups (more is better of course!). Side games will be happening only if setups are brought for those specific games, so if you want to get your SF4 on or BB no problem just bring the equipment. Although 6 player xmen arcade can and will break out at some point during the event!
If all of this sounds appealing or anyone has an idea sound off. I really want to gauge interest most importantly. It will dictate the size of the room(s) I will reserve so it is important to post up if you can come. Putting this out nearly two months ahead so the time can be reserved! I’ll be asking some of the Mass peeps if they would like to stop by as well (unless they are reading this right now lol). They are always so gracious to us at their venues.
Don’t forget to wish Rich a happy belated 21st bday if you haven’t already!! You better be ass deep in booze and poontang homie!

you guys didn’t miss much at larry’s comics. the venue wasn’t that great, seeing as to how half the time people were bumping into us players to get to their shopping/etc. 13 people showed up, and we only had 2 setups… overall decent games but it could have been better.

im back, my SRK suspension is up. what’d i miss? lawrence retiring, thats sucks, but now i can be the only good vega player in nh:wgrin: . that hotel gig sounds cool, ill have to go, can i bring booze and my favorite lady (mary jane)? also whats happening with the fight nights? seems to me that their kinda going downhill in terms of numbers.
Wigz! Back from the dead man, word! In terms of numbers we actually have been doing really well again. I think not having them for a while gave people time to miss those tuesday grind sessions. We added a couple of fresh faces to the mix also so there is certainly more variety and character diversity.
Yea back to blaze the blue for me, but no more serious SF4 since I don’t really jive well with the system at all and couldn’t lock down a proper main lol. Just anticipating that good ol MVC3…
Which brings me to the event in February. Of course booze is welcome and blazing is too so long as we don’t get kicked out for it since my dollars are on the line for this. Aside from that I am still looking at the best option in regards to space and know I count on some of you to be in attendance for most, if not all 48 hours I intend on hosting in Boston…its a “crack session” in every sense.
I decided not to charge anything for it since its not a tournament or a proper venue. Bring your own booze and food though and helping out by bringing setups is all I ask. We will be breaking to hit some cheap eateries in the area and chill. Think it would also be a great opportunity to strengthen our community as well since we don’t know much about one another outside the virtual arena.
Anyway once I have thee hotel room(s) booked I will have a better sense of how many people attending would be ideal (so it doesnt get out of hand noise wise). As it stands I am thinking 15-20 max so if you guys have a friend(s) interested in attending let me know. I would also like to get as close to a definitive head count on the NH end as we get closer, before I start throwin invites to some of the Mass peeps we are familiar with from GU.

i just watched that new mvc3 trailer… oh gawd hotness. I like how arthur and modok are put up against each other (and the one arthur combo they show on the hulk is hilarious–who else can combo into and then OUT OF two projectiles???). But yeah, the trailer has feb 15th as the official release so the weekend of the 18th should be a good time. I know i’ll be there.
