New Hampshire: The Sessions...Return of Salt Mines Starts 1/15/13

most of the players at NorCal Install (for BB anyway) were terrible. I was actually really surprised at the level of play (especially the tagers–though apparently mikeZ took second place but i can’t find any vids of it yet). I think Ginseng may have found a good playstyle with tsubaki.

I don’t wanna speak for people but potentially replace 5 dragons is the sentiment i’ve heard. Not sure yet. Maybe if Souper Bowl disappears we could find a border town venue for MA/NH to both play or something? That could be cool. And I’d totally play some ssf4 with you, tom. I booted up some t.hawk for myself last night to freshen up my mind in that game and I would like to get a decent secondary in super before New England Revolution too.

also, random but awesome product link check out the new hori product.

Hmm, well I’m not actually sure when the Souper Bowl is closing haha. I was talking to Peter the other week about future tournaments and he said, “Want to switch to bi-monthly for the school year?” So, at first I thought the restaurant only had a couple months left, but now I’m not sure.

But, if you find a place to replace 5 dragons and it happens on a different day for some reason (which probably wouldn’t be the case) let me know! I know my friends and I would like to visit and check everything out. :]

And I saw that Hori thing at EVO, Hori was demoing it. IT IS AMAZING. No lag, looks really nice and it’s super easy to play PS3 in your car!

I want that thing! $250 is completely worth it. As for Dragons Tom, i would hate for you guys to make the trip and not have a full compliment of players to play against. The last 2 months have been pretty bad for the Dragons venue between attendance and the owners random closing times as a result. I am sure the interest is there but getting everyone to come on even a bi-weekly basis has been a challenge let alone a weekly event.

Weekly though is the way to go and I for one would love to have a larger weekly venue. Right now I run SaltMines out of my apartment (similar to TW Thursdays I think you use to run Tom) but my apartment is small and I can only do so much with the space given. We have a small contingent that usually show for that though so it has been fruitful in helping out our games. Maybe we can collaborate on something gauge the interest and then take it from there. Let me know your thoughts.

Oh that’s fantastic. I found it on the product page but it hasn’t released in America yet so I haven’t found any reviews. I was wondering how it would be to play on a screen that small–as in, can i really play a fighting/fps/action game on it or would i really only be able to play puzzle games and stuff? I guess if it’s right up in your face then there probably wouldn’t be much of a problem, though. Wonder if it would be too small to use it as the “tv” for use at game nights and such.

Oh man! TW Thursdays got really out of hand at the peak of it’s popularity. The streets were crowded and there was hardly any place to sit so I know that pain! It’s nice that I found the Souper Bowl who doesn’t want to charge for fight nights and it’s really large. Unfortunately, ever since SC2 came out attendance has been a bit lacking but we still have a handful anyways. It’d be cool to mix the two areas but it is hard in terms of distance and schedules.

Yea, I don’t think I’d use it at home unless we desperately needed another setup because I guess the size is a bit small. But I think it’s perfect for traveling (long car trips, hotel rooms) so I’d be really hype to have that things when driving down to majors or something. I didn’t even think of other games on it, I’d imagine FPS games would be super hard haha.

^ SC2? who wants to play 3d fighters?/joke

Also this is a bit random but is interested in joing my fantasy football leauge?

league id is 245268
password is rivera
league is on yahoo so youll need a yahoo account

Lol, Never been much of a SC player. I do enjoy messing around in it though. I cant seem to take games with ringouts seriously though…although I hear that VF does it right.

Totally down for the Fantasy League wigz, already involved in one with some of my old co-workers so this will be my first year with 2 leagues goin on!!! Hey its new to me =p

You guys are dumb, lol. SC2 is StarCraft 2… you know, that sequel to the fantastic RTS ip blizzard dropped on the world like ten years ago that is so big people in Korea ride into sold out stadiums on speed boats to play in giant competitions?

anyway, tourneys are coming up people! Big saltmines this tuesday. let’s make it hot! Tim, i’ll bring my ps3 if you wanna bring your tv. You shouldn’t have to lug everything all the time.

Lol, your talking to the guy that rode into MMO’s with City of Heroes:rofl: Mines will be good this week in prep for weekend tourny. Is Gadz coming? Been keeping in touch with Ben he has car problems and lots o work going on.

On another note is Star Craft really that hot?!!

@Kraig: Korea takes the games they love more seriously than anywhere from what I gather…look at the shit they have for Tekken: Vending machines, tekken sodas/snack foods, and TV shows lol.

they have CHANNELS and gambling conspiracies for starcraft.

hey what’s up guys

i’ve been thinking about moving to NH soon for school and if i actually end up moving i would like to meet some of those SSF4 heads over there

i’m currently in puerto rico but possibly moving in like 2 months or maybe sooner so just wanted to post here to introduce myself. I got a question, how’s NH is it fun? never been there before lol so i’m just curious

I shouldve posted it up sooner, the draft is actually tommorow, night a 7, im thinking of moving it back a couple days cause i still havent filled the league.

@TD: Im from puerto rico too, bayamon to be exact. But i moved here since i was 1 yrs old. NH’s okay, not a bad place to live in and there has been a surging hispanic community.

We’ll run you all out sooner or later

you’d want that whitey.

lol okay…

@toasted: i used to live in FL but i moved down here and it’s not as good as it used to be back in the day, how’s the SF4 scene there?

Its growing, but unfortunately not too big, but there are couple of good fight night locations around the border or right across the border going into mass. Takes like 30-40 min to get to them from manchester, which isnt that bad. and the comp is good and the people or friendly.

we basically have like 50 active players in this small island, is it more there?

PD: you guys are playing SC2, oh lord y’all gonna lose your lives there lol

Back in New Hampshrie =D. Anyone want to fill me in on when the next fight night is. Also, i need a final head count for Syracuse. Sooner the better.

definitely, the tournys are alot larger.
