On the contrary man, you are better than you think. I can look pretty free sometimes but I am going to one of these!:nunchuck:
@T-Money: Your Buffalo crew is pretty rugged in the SSF4 squared circle aren’t they?! I am glad your confidence in our ability is greater than mine lol. Regardless I would love to play against your peeps, I am sure I would learn something amidst the ass kicking. Is it 2v2 or 3v3 for that NY tourny? Kraig back me up with T.Hawk son, I’ll learn a little Rog to back up my weak Guy.:woot:
Best players are the Gouken/Guy player, he’s the most known. We also have a ROCK SOLID Honda, and a beastly Balrog. Then me. I think it’s 3v3. I was hoping Brian or Rich would want to come too. Either way, it’s gonna be a coin flip for which team i represent. Either way it should be a lot of fun, and hey, you dont even have to drive.
Actually I change my mind, i wont join the tourny but ill play a lot of friendlys there. I may join the teams though, just to rep NH. Ill help pay for gas for anyone that could gimme ride.
if you going all the way to an out of state tourney you might as well toss your hat in the ring just for the experience. the more you play with that pressure on you the less it gets to you. I remember being hella nervous and making dumb mistakes my first tourney but the next time i was able to make my opponents (some of which were the dudes who beat me the last time) freak out and make bad decisions cause i was calmer.
lol. love me some good survival mode. hope you got that trophy.
Those guys coming to syracuse, just letting you know we’ll be getting a hotel room. It’s a 2 day tournament. Just making sure you know and are informed, and if it changes anything let me know.
I don’t believe that it is no more. ping said something about his mom yelling at him and the fact that you wouldn’t be there–and how peeps don’t bring setups so he had a get together at his place. as long as phil has a tv there i can bring my ps3 for a setup and you always bring yours, tim. so that’s two right there. ping’s place was basically two setups anyway–it was a good time though.
make it hot guys. i wish i could go but i can’t swing two tourneys two weekends in a row. i head back to work tomorrow and my first graduate class is tomorrow night as well. However, saturday september 11, for those peeps not going to syracuse but going to CT, i’m free from like 9am to like 7pm for ssf4/bbcs training.
Also… who wants to start chattering about NEC on Dec 4 and 5???Edit: I think we should go. Only one guy from NH heading down to NEC and he’s going for GG. Lots of MA players though, for both ssf4 and bb. peep the prereg list here. And umm… gonna be several tager players on the bbcs side of things. Also… who does jwong play in bb? i bet he plays litchi.
I’ve already got my stick with me in my cube. I’m good to go. obvi you’ll have to call/text ping to see if he’s going. Had I read Tim’s message this morning before I left I would have packed my ps3. we could have broken out some multiplayer scott pilgrim during a food break and had another setup in general. I should be out of work be 4:30 so text me up if things change. I wanna get that training in.
I think a new weekly venue is in order, but not until we find one of course and we can get some better attendance to the one’s we already have lol. Seems the hype has burnt some out and others have dropped off the face of the earth do to other obligations which is understandable.
That new KOF is looking pretty badass. Just hoping the netcode is up to par since I couldnt imagine there being a rabid scene for it like SSF4 (here’s hoping I’m wrong!).
how to play tsubaki. I mean, come on. 5K off of 3 stocks. ginseng was busting fools up with the unblockable. that charge time is craaaazy fast.
Itinerary for New England Revolution in CT on the 19th:
The Games and Times
Saturday
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core (PS2) 2:30pm
Game of Choice (Pending) 4:00pm
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Teams (PS2) 5:00pm
Blazblue: Continuum Shift Teams (PS3) 6:45
Sunday
Blazblue: Continuum Shift (PS3) 2:45pm
Melty Blood: Actress Again (Japanese PS2) 3:30pm
Super Street Fighter IV (PS3) 4:15pm
Soulcalibur 4 (PS3) 5:00pm
so no sf teams and I think i can only make it down for sunday. With regard to KoF. hell yes, man, that stuff looks haaaaawt. the short hops are back and the pressure is intense. all the color palettes look sweet as well. Raiden as Venom ftw (double dropkick/shoulder rush shenanigans seem rugged) and the characters seem to have a large number of their moves back. i’ve started playing some kof2002 on my laptop to sorta feel out some stuff and get the game under me (you know, since i haven’t played a good kof game since there was an arcade in manchester).
I think if we go somewhere else we have to advertise and really draw peeps out of the woodwork–smelly, douchey, or not. if we post some flyers in game stores and attract all the nerds who don’t know about srk or dustloop we might really be able to get things poppin… or we’ll just become elitist asses cause we won’t be able to stand the randoms we find.
That Tsubaki was real good. That Litchi was terrible. No reason to get hit my tsubaki’s unblockable since it takes long enough to charge to recognize and its her number one combo starter for big damage and usually the only move worthy enough to spend a charge on if you only have one bar…Should be expected. He didnt know the matchup which was obvious.
The combos were nice to but when you need 3 charges and 50% heat to do a “a little” over 5k i’ll stick to learning Mu-12, with a little kune on the side. A good Mu could have finished off those matches with out that much effort needed. Regardless good to see someone reppin the way of the book.
If you guys are starting another weekly venue, is it replacing 5 dragons on Thursday? Or are you thinking of doing Tuesdays, Thursdays and whole new venue and day? I’d like to come up (now that I think about it, Tuesdays wouldn’t be bad) and if you aren’t down to play SSFIV, I’ll play HDR or 3s. (Sorry, never got into the GG or BB engines)
