So Faust’s range on things have been decreased. I wonder what ‘K version of Ai added’ means and Neck stretch pattern changed? Seems to me hes probably been turned down even though he wasnt as great in the latest installment of #Reload hehe… Although hes getting an aerial special now which in other places Ive seen translated as only a new aerial attack. Someone wanna explain more about the Masked Doctor? I also wonder if Fanny will ever return to the GG series ahaha.

By lag I assume you speak of the online aspect, in which case they might as well delay the game for another 20 years, because nothing short of a complete telecommunications overhaul + massive, widespread server upgrading will give you an online experience 100% equal to the arcade or offline home play.

I called Guilty Gear #Reload, Reload, and everyone knew what I was talking about. Calling the new Guilty Gear “Slash” shouldn’t be a problem.
However neither arcade or offline play will ever get you near the top players unless they happen to live near you, so there’s a tradeoff in every case. What we do know is that making any game online playable makes it a top game pretty much, so if #R/ wants to compete they will make it at least Anniversary Collection level.
Let’s not turn the thread into a discussion of online play. That shit is extremely old and played out, and a passing comment shouldn’t derail any new info we happen to get (even if the thread has been sparesly updated, it will get more hits as soon as new info comes out…or people get around to doing the FULL translations at the above mentioned site).

I attended a dinner/drinking party last night with many top Guilty players in attendance including Pachi (Faust player on the winning team with Ogawa) and Imo (AKA Poteto, the best Zappa player in Japan who was on 2nd player team). I asked all of them what they thought of GGXX#R/ (I was curious since unfortunately I didn’t make it to the location test in time). The general concensus was that the game as it is right now is pretty crappy. No one is really looking forward to the game right now, but they’re all planning on switching since they have no choice (since everyone will play the new one regardless). Imo seemed more optimistic though, he said that it’s still in beta and they got a lot of useful information from the location test so he thinks that the final version will be better.
Just thought I’d add some input since these are the first people I talked to who have actually played the game. Hopefully if there’s another location test, I can give some first-hand English information about the game.
Fubur what are the reasons why its being disliked? Too much the same, the tiers are more cheesy???
