I posted that here because it seems to me that for the most part, intelligent women post in this thread, and I was hoping for a female response (or explanation?) for some of the behavior I mentioned. Like I said, don’t take any of it personally, because I was just in a bad mood when I wrote it.
…but can someone here explain to me why EVERY woman I’ve encountered is one or more of the above? Or why women always say they want “nice guys,” but then seem to act otherwise? I’m not just talking about women I’ve been in relationships with, I’m talking about friends, relatives, the (ex)girlfriends of some of my male frineds, and hell even my own mother. I swear to god, every woman I’ve ever known has acted like this, and it’s VERY disheartening. Sometimes I think my standards are just too high, but I’m also not the kind of person to just “settle” for someone. But as it stands now, I don’t think I can ever really trust a woman again, because of the stuff that has happened in my past…
I’m sorry, any regular guy (that ain’t hyped up on there own Testosterone) will tell ya, What comes out of womens mouth about ya hurt. A while ago I could have a guy diss me all day and night and either. A) not care, or B) throw down, It’s differnet when it’s coming from a lady though. Option B goes straight out the window. (from the most part:bluu: ) but for opotion A…It’s harder to just let that in one ear and out the other without think about it our having your feeling hurt just a little. I’ve gotten past this stage but it took me a loooooonnnggg while to. Still it hurts to get dissed by a girl more than a guy. Especially Face to Face, IF I was ever dissed by a female now or ever again. I could just brush it off.
My mom is so shy though, at least in front of groups sometimes. And she just knows the basics of looming, sadly I’m not much better than her. But still beading for jewelry pieces would be interesting. and fun!

Punish3r: seriously, you’re complaining about women looking for bad boys, but if those type of women that you listed are the only kinds of women you’ve encountered, wouldnt it seem that you are looking for “bad women”? Like Ang said, and as I replied in my post in the other thread to you, this is a double sided coin. When you look at this story from a female perspective, its the exact same thing being played out, except men are the evil, conniving ones. Truth is, there are just self-absorbed, selfish, stupid PEOPLE out there. This world practically TRAINS us all to be like that, its just a matter of intelligence and good personalities that we all dont turn out that way!
Check out some of the male “I am such a pimp” threads that pop up sometimes here on SRK, and look at the behavior that they claim to commit towards the women in their relationships. Even if its not EXACTLY the behavior you listed, 99.9% of the male behavior can be compared closely to it. All that shit comes down to selfishness and not thinking of the other person, as well, a person. Even the title of that thread, “Girls or Video Games” implies that women are on the same level as some material object, instead of a living, breathing human being. You might as well said, “Humans or Video Games”, and at least that would’ve made more sense without objectifying and belittling women. I dont even bother to point that shit out anymore, because all I get from it is a bunch of morons shouting “feminazi” at me because they CANT see the connection. Its just not worth the effort, and it wont change things. Next week you’ll have a thread up entitled, “Shoelaces or Women”.
You just got to figure out WHY you are meeting these types of people, and then then work to cure yourself of the habit. Some of us get set, as Ang said, on being attracted to them like bad medicine. If thats the case, you gotta learn to shake off that attraction before those type of people ruin you for good.

i need some suggestions for a title for this drawing. for now it’s just titled “sunset frog” or “burnout frog” which is lame but I can’t think of anything else to name it right now; blocked shrugs
“topaz frog” was another idea i was toying around with. hopefully somebody can come up with something better.
I dont think their corny, I looked at the work and thought that both titles wouldnt be bad.I felt like I could visit a gallery, see the title, and understand or think about the reference.
So, Ang, just to help us out, and maybe to help yourself out - what story or what meaning, do you want to represent in this drawing? What inspired you to do it? I mean, Fenrir looks at it, and was reminded of the Frog Prince stories, which I did also. I kind thought of “The Prince Within” . But I also thought about animal spirits, like it was the spirit within glowing to echo the glow outside.
Whoever commented on your post tho is right - I could easily see it on one of the cards from the Holistic shops. Its really nice and soothing, while somewhat thought or imagination provoking.

I dont think you over-reacted necessarily, partly because I dont think he was purely asking out of curiousity, I think he kinda was trying to insult you on some level. And you have a point that you shouldnt have to be part of a group to defend them if theyre being dissed upon. It should be a natural inclination on all enlightened minds to protect those who’s names are unrightly being trampled on. But sometimes we dont as well as we should.
My problem is that when I get angry, I just cant argue as effectively, and people read my anger without them knowing WHY Im angry. I’ve worked a lot harder in a past few months to try to be passionate without overloading them with just my emotion. Im really trying to let my logic shine through. I dont always succeed though.
Gokku - lol, its all good. My friends have been complaining its hard to get ahold of me anyhow lately. Its cause my little sister and dad have been signing on the computer and not changing screen names, and then they wont answer whoevers paging me, or they’ll just answer. “NOT MISHA” – which is kinda rude I think.

yeah, you might’ve been a bit hasty in responding so vehemently to his question. it’s hard to read body language and tone of voice on a message board and the guy could’ve really meant it as an off topic question of curiosity. but your point about defending people is certainly on target; you don’t have to be part of a group to defend their rights, you just have to care enough to do so. so you’re emotional response is understandable, but probably wasn’t necessary in this case. it’s not like he was trying to be rude because he did clarify his curiosity in his reply.
