I am sorry to hear about your uncle Lyndsey. My step dad was hospitalized last month for the same thing and he is doing fine now so I am sure your uncle will be too. I will keep your uncle in my prayers even though I ain’t Christian and hope he pulss through which I am sure he will.

Hey Ang! What DID you think of the movie? I saw Windtalkers this weekend too actually, and it was okay - not great though. Both Ben and I expected more from John Woo. I dont know that much about Navajo traditions, so I didnt really know how to rate the film. My father same some reviews by Navajo though said it really knew little to nothing of their culture. I also saw the Bourne Identity, of which only one scene was truly cool and oh course, the female love of my life Franke Potenke was in it, beautiful and wonderful as ever. She’s so goregous, I wish I looked like her. I think I should name my first daughter after her, if not the first name, the last name. Po-tenk-eh. Sorry, she was the only reason I went to see that film. The rest of the casting was just a waste. Oh well.
I got the new job! I start training this Thurs. If I go to work AND this training sesson at the new job, I’ll be working 13 hrs that day…so Im going to skip part of Thursday at the first job and take a nap before I go. excited the only bad thing is I might have to work Sundays cries. My new boss seems really cool tho and its seems like they actually WANT me thereI had a dirty old man following me around at this old job and this way I can get rid of him too! HOORAY!!! Okay, Im tired. Bed time.

Congrats! on the new job. yeah I have to work all weekends so I know that bites…but hey, I love gettin’ paid so that’s my balance with it. Now as for Wind Talkers…well, it was good. The AMC 20 had the sound up way too fuckin loud. The whole thing with Navajo traditions I can understand why they downplayed it in the movie (whether it was to not bastardize some of the ceremonies, like the protection one that was performed…or to emphasize the lack of open-mindedness within the armed forces and other religious practices is subjective to interpretation.) I saw the interview on 60 Minutes II they had with the two main characters of the story (both are still living and were re-united on the show). The movie didn’t go into every aspect of the code talkers stories…especially that they were not just Navajo; Comanche, Choctaw, Cherokee and a couple of other tribes were involved in this with their languages as well. To me this movie just scratched the surface and you’re right they could’ve done more, but Hollyweird is always slow to portraying history in an accurate format. sighs I really wished my grandfather had lived a few weeks longer so I could hear his opinion on this movie. He served in WWII (in the Pacific, at Iwo Jima) and knew some of the code talkers personally. But he never talked about the war, not even with his family. Perhaps in the next life
