i didnt get very far but i did pretty good for someone who hasnt played mvc2 in like 2 months
i never beat anyone from chinatown unless they were a fob or scrub.

True that. It was fucking insane in there. I’m mad short so I couldn’t get a good view of the people playing, but I managed to get the perfect view of the Mix-Up/Justin series in the MVC2 Loser’s Bracket. I was up against the ropes practically holding off guys that were like 8 feet tall trying to hump me to death in order to get in position. That was my first major. Didn’t do shit in MVC2 though. My Sent is garbage compared to everybody else. I was like the second guy to pick Omega Red in that tourney. Of course, it was all God Tier in MVC2…a lot of Rowtron (Mags/Cable/Sent) and Santhrax (Storm/Sent/Capcom). What games/tournies did you play at ECC8?

To the girl gamers at ecc from NY I just wanna say YOU GIRLS ROCK! I was the sixteen year old white kid hanging out with Bahn, I just wanna say it was good to see some girls kick some ass in fighting games for once :). The only girls that play in my area are the ones mashing on the 2p side against their boyfriends. If you get one more girl gamer in there(if there is sorry didnt know) you can have the charlie angels of street fighter!
You should try sentinel capcom, hella chese. Can your mags do the infinite and resets and stuff like that, I think I would have a heart attack if I saw a girl do those things.

I dunno if its better. I know when you carry a boy all the weight is out in front (looks like a basketball. lol), while with a girl you gain weight overall (=|).

Ok I’ll admit that when I first heard of girls playing MVC2 competitively…it was something refreshing , but is it that much of a surprise that a girl who plays 3S or MVC2 can perform infinites, juggles, fast-flies, parries, etc? I mean, if they post on a fighting game forum, they must be of average skill or better. There’s only a few girls on this site that probably suck at fighters and are only here for the attention, but the majority of them at least have a basic idea of how the mechanics of a particular fighting game engine work. To put it simpler, if they post on SRK and play MVC2 and the like, then they’ve got to have a degree of skills whether low, medium, or high.
Lady Harlem: I witnessed Sanford Kelly perform fast-flies with Sent and I just wanted to cry. They were that disgusting. Funny though, I pictured Sanford to be this massive 6-5, 280 lbs. black guy. Regardless, he’s still beast and whenever Mixup played he would always scream…“Miiiiiichaaaaaeeeeeeellll!!!” or “Michael NOOO!!!”
