satomi i finally finished the myth. it’s a very interesting story; almost reads like an RPG in parts. you need to watch those repetitive phrases though…it interupts the flow of the story (ex. “and so it came to pass…”) that phrase only belongs at the very end of the story. i did enjoy some of the battle scenes as well. the dialogue in the first half of the story, between the characters, needs some re-writing too. all in all a good read

I went to the Ameristar Casino last night and stopped by the cade there for a bit. here’s what they FINALLY got in there: 1 DDR machine, 1 MvC2 cab, 1 Tekken 4 cab and 1 SC2 cab (the last 3 are all lined up next to each other and are only 2 tokens ea., i think.) oh by the way don’t bother seeing that movie THEY (that sucked so much ass it’s not even funny. :lame: I want my money and 2 hours of my life back after being subjected to such horrible film-making :p)
anyway, i’m busy updating my art sites this week points to shameless plug links in sig and finally added my “art history” into a profile page after a colleague suggested it to me (thanks Mel!)

Ang: Glad to hear that you finished the myth. Yeah, I know all about the repeats of the phrase “And so it came to pass…”. There’s actually a reason why I did that. We were required to read myths for class and that phrase was very common in just about every myth I read no matter the culture. It all translated the same way I guess. They even use the phrase over and over again so I tried my best to capture the repetitiveness. Right now, I’m trying to piece together a short about my life. It’s not exactly a personal account of my life. I’m just borrowing elements from my daily experiences. It’s called Tricky’s Diner. My friends and I go to Denny’s a lot, but I felt it was too commercial so I decided to set it in a made up diner located downtown. We’ll see how that works.

We rented DDR 6th mix, and damn was that fun playing. We kept it too long though, so now I owe Hastings like 15.00 or something. Oh well, I havent run up charges on my blockbuster account yet, so at least I have one outlet for my movie watching needs.
We saw Equilibrium yesterday. I LOVED IT! Too much fun. Christian ?Bale? in nice clothes doing slick John Woo style gun play - heh heh…damn ladies, it was worth it. I’ve actually never really liked his looks all that much, but he looked really nice in this movie. The movie itself had plot holes in it, but it made me almost cry with a dog scene, and over all I just really liked it. Ben’s roomie Scott said he read somewhere that they shot all the action scenes in just one take each because they were on an extreme budget. Which I can understand, their backdrops and scenary were just NICE. Think Metropolis meets Dune meets Bladerunner. Mmmmm…Harrison Ford…snaps back to reality So if you get a chance to see it, you might check it out. Half the critics hated it, half of them loved it.
