i played it today. he could have. not a garaunteed hit, but it woulda kept you from throwing them out without caution
1:40:00, Alex Valle as Fei-Long
BTW that costume color is one of the extras you get for having the SF4 save on your console.
@HNIC : if i could, why did i do it ?
Theorically, it’s in fact possible but it seems that the timing is a one frame tolerence one and the fact is that Adon speedwalk is higher than fei’s one, alioune did walk forward to f.hk that prevent me to make it whiff punish (the f.hk came on block).
Dunno if it’s on the video but i tried to whiff punish the f.hk with c.hp (startup = 8 frames while rekka lp’s one is 7 frames) and it’s impossible.
For more, the f.hk makes 2hit until a long range that disturb a lot.
Watch the video closely and this time analyse correctly the footsie game.
I think the solution is to enter in his perimeter, apply the classic pressure game, and hit him during the f.hk startup. The easier way to do this is when Adon is cornered. And, don’t let him have the possibility to trap you with the wall dive (especially the wall dive lk), so if he do one, you can ex cw him during his recovery.
I did some stuff like that but Alioune uploaded those 2 matches mainly for showing how Adon can be tough.
@nosone : Fei simply didn’t change except the startup of the HK CW which is faster.

me playing fei vs cody.

dont be too harsh. i havent been maining fei for the past two months
cody has really nice normals. his standing rh and mk have utility simialar to bisons. i dont think the matchup will be too bad though
(last trial) no 3 hits on fadc u1 :bluu:
You could’ve just focused his st. HK and MK…or tried to MK/HK CW through them. That’s how I deal with Bison’s who love to st. HK lol! You should’ve also used more st. close MP to give yourself some frame advantage…I don’t see enough Fei players using this as it’s a great tool to keep your opponent in block stun and allow you to think of what you’re gonna do next. I find that following up with st. or cr. LP > LK CW throws people off…then again, maybe I’m the only one who tries to use Fei like in the old SF games lol. Sometimes I’ll even do st. HP > LK CW just for the heck of it eventhough it does less damage and doesn’t give you any frame advantage BUT it sometimes throws the opponent off b/c usually most Fei players will combo st. HP into rekkas or flamekick so the opponent is used to anticipating the knock down and getting that few seconds of relief…but with the st. HP > LK CW combo, they sometimes will panic when they find that they’re still standing and Fei is right in front of them lol. I guess I just hate having to chase after my opponent after landing a combo haha…
Anyhow good stuff HNIC Mike…do you feel that rekkas got any safer though?
it was my first time fighting cody. ever. i never played alpha. so i didnt know how his normals worked. in rd 1 you can see me trying to jump and his kicks were sticking me to the ground. alpha happens to be the dude i was playing’s favorite sf games, so he already knew how to use cody
my real problem is that ive been playing gen, and getting the fuck out of town with ex oga when i get presured on wake up. i kept getting up and hitting buttons. shoulda just blocked more. i thought my offense was ok for not really playing fei much as of late, but your tips are always appreciated. cw inside block strings can lead to some good mixups. very good idea. gotta get my fei flow back
and no. rekkas feel just as unsafe as always. on a related note, i know they just said it in the blog, but i was thinking of 2 blocked rekkas then counter ultra because there is a decent chance that your opponent will look to get a hit in when they see you stop.
i think fei will be a lot better off in super though. the top characters are less of a chore. they still win in the matchups with fei, but i didnt feel as though i was working as hard with all the stupid trades and free bs that they got being taken out. fei is definately more fun now.
Sorry guys I’m not gonna start a new video thread. I have absolutely no intention of putting any serious time into Fei now that the new infinite is discovered and I really can’t trust that Capcom will patch this without nerfing the HK CW like crazy again…
wrong post
Is it just me guys?
If you look at these “players” fighting, dont they remind you of 2 computers fighting? As if the machine is running on its own and just demoing the game due to not pushing any buttons in a long time. There are some nice links on the fei/sagat part yet the 2 are playing so unsafely…
I dunno, probably just trippin balls.
i can’t find this video any where I really want to see Alex’s fei. Is there another link?
Nothing special Send, some Rekka and Flame kicks, I watch this video so don’t lose any sleep

Noticed when playing yesterday that it seems that flamekick has priority over cw for some weird reason. Didn’t go into training mode to see input testing, but a few times I tried to do cw I got a flamekick.
Very nice fei.
Awesome Fei there, Ray-Long Solid reactions to everything–I liked the use of Counter Ultra too. It seemed to fit your style of play very well. Lol at “Team Ray please carry us” haha, good stuff.
